Rose Theatre has announced it is reopening its doors once again on 27 June 2021. Following three national lockdowns, the Rose is reopening to the public with a series of summer shows and events, including The International Youth Arts Festival by Creative Youth from 1 July 2021 and more.

On Thursday, May 20 at 7:00pm ET, the Apollo Theater and ImageNation will bring together a diverse collection of short films by Black creatives in an array of genres from documentary and experimental to psychological thriller in an evening that explores the creative process from four different perspectives.

On May 9, the Grammy Award-winning Houston Chamber Choir, led by Founder and Artistic Director Robert Simpson, presents A Time to Draw Closer, the season finale of the 2020-2021 virtual season, featuring the world premiere of a work by noted Houston composer Mark Buller. The Mother's Day concert presents Buller's 'The Passion of St. Cecilia,' specially commissioned by the Houston Chamber Choir to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The concert will be simultaneously livestreamed to viewers at home via the theatre discovery platform Thespie, which is dedicated to bringing the best live and recorded theatre to audiences around the world.
