On Her Shoulders is pleased to present staged readings with music of two plays by the earliest known female dramatists, directed by Lynn Marie Macy on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start with The Play in Context by Melody Brooks, who situates the scripts in their historical time and place, followed by the readings and a post-performance Q&A with refreshments.  Teresa Lotz is Music Consultant. Theatre production company Parity Productions, a producer of new work that ensures they fill at least 50% of the creative positions (playwrights, directors, and designers) on their productions with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TCNG) artists, is pleased to announce their world premiere production of Charlie's Waiting by Melisa Annis, Parity's 2017 Commission Winner, this March 29 through April 14 at Theaterlab (357 W 36th St, New York, NY 10018) hosted by TLab Shares. The cast is led by Tony nominee Xanthe Elbrick, and includes Amy Scanlon. Charlie's Waiting is directed by Parity Productions Artistic Director, Ludovica Villar Hauser.

Sing Away the Stigma is a heartfelt, honest, life-affirming evening of brand-new songs by emerging musical theater composers and lyricists, inspired by true-life stories of those with mental health challenges. A dozen people from different backgrounds and walks of life, all living with a mental health condition, were interviewed and had their stories of struggle, strength, and hope turned into songs, which will be performed for the first time in this concert. Sing Away the Stigma is a testament to the power of musical theater, the strength of those living with mental illness, and the unique bond formed when the two meet.

Baggage at the Dooris a wry peek inside the head of a seemingly well-adjusted trauma-queen- it is one woman's struggle to get through the terrors of her past and reclaim tenderness. With music written in collaboration with award-winning emerging composers, Baggage at the Dooris an autobiographical solo show addressing the critical moment when a trauma survivor realizes she may no longer be able to simply cope; when falling in love triggers her latent PTSD, she might be f*cked. New York theatre companies Parity Productions and New Perspectives Theatre Company have announced they are teaming to produce the world premiere of She Calls Me Firefly, a new American play by Teresa Lotz, directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser. The play will premiere in June at the SoHo Playhouse.

29th Street Rep (Paula Ewin and Ted Osborne, Producers) present the ONE NIGHT ONLY celebration of Playwright in Residence Bill Nave, who died in 2016. Directed by Vera Beren at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY on Wednesday, May 2nd at 8:00 pm. Admission is free and by invitation. The performance will run approximately 3 hours, with one intermission.
