“Here's the thing,” Teddy Thompson sings frankly on his new album, “you don't love me anymore. I can tell you've got one foot out the door.” From its opening track Thompson's new album Heartbreaker Please (out May 8 on Thirty Tigers) reckons with the breakdown of love with a wistful levity as satisfying as it is devastatingly honest. And while the album is drawn from the demise of a real-life relationship, as told from Thompson's perspective, it might also be seen as a projection of his relationship with New York City, the place he has called home for the better part of two decades.

The Nine Seas, Fiona McBain (Ollabelle, The Big Bright, Then There Were Two) and Liz Tormes (solo artist, The Big Bright), will release their debut album, Dream of Me, on April 3, 2020. Dream of Me, a collection of 12 tracks featuring two spellbinding voices telling dark-hued stories, was co-produced by McBain and Tormes with southern American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Jim White. Rolling Stone Country just debuted Dori Freeman's new video for the song 'All I Ever Wanted.' It's off her new album coming September 27 on Blue Hens Music. Writer Stephen L. The legendary Rufus and Martha Wainwright Christmas show, "Noel Nights," is returning to New York City after a four-year hiatus. Featuring three generations of the Wainwright and McGarrigle families, along with many other special guests, this annual holiday extravaganza will bring the Christmas spirit to Town Hall on Sunday, December 16th.

Linda Thompson's career began in the much beloved late '60s/early '70s British folk-rock scene, when she went by the name Linda Peters. At first, she was mostly a session singer and a part of a short-lived duo with Paul McNeill with whom she released two singles, in 1968 and 1969. McNeill happened to be friends with Sandy Denny, and soon so was Linda. She became one of the “supergroup” of musician friends related to Fairport Convention for the 1972 The Bunch album, a side project of sorts that highlighted rock hits of the '50s. The album's single featured Linda and Sandy covering the Everly Brothers' “When Will I Be Loved.” Also in 1972 Linda married Richard Thompson; she and Sandy can be found in the credits for his solo debut, Henry the Human Fly. Beginning in 1974, albums started appearing by Richard & Linda Thompson, winding up with 1982's classic Shoot Out the Lights — which also signaled the end of their marriage.

Whether it's pure pop or moody acoustic ballads, singer/songwriter/guitarist, Steve Barton, has developed a reputation for crafting some of the most literate and poignant music in underground rock.  In addition to being a founding member of the revered punk/psychedelic band Translator, perhaps best known for the Barton-penned song 'Everywhere That I'm Not', he has released several solo albums - 'The Boy Who Rode His Bike Around The World', 'Charm Offensive', 'Flicker Of Time', 'Gallery', 'Projector' and the one-off duo album with Translator's drummer Dave Scheff, 'New Blue World'.  The seventh and latest, 'Tall Tales and Alibis', is a sprawling triple album tour de force filled with Steve's brand new songs, which was released in March by Sleepless Music.  

On April 12, 1963, Bob Dylan played his first major concert. It was at The Town Hall in New York City. It wasn't sold out - but those who were there witnessed a truly historic event.

Singer/songwriter Wesley Stace, who will release Wesley Stace's John Wesley Harding on February 24, will embark on a nine-city tour opening for The Jayhawks.
