The World Premiere of playwright and performer Donnetta Lavinia Grays' WHERE WE STAND - co-presented by WP Theater and Baltimore Center Stage -  just opened Off-Broadway last night, Tuesday February 11, 2020, at WP Theater (1262 Broadway, NYC).

TheaterWorksUSA and The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture will present the New York premiere of Warriors Don't Cry on January 31 and February 1 at the Sheen Center's Loreto Theater (18 Bleecker St). Baltimore Center Stage has been awarded a 2020 Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the agency announced last week.  For the second year in a row, the arts organization will provide funding to Center Stage in support of its Mobile Unit.

Producers Brennan T. Jones and Danielle Demisay have announced the first New York presentation of Grace McLeod's acclaimed New Play, Herland, directed by James Fleming. Herland is cast by Hano Casting.

Brooklyn's Brave New World Repertory Theatre will launch BNWorks 2020, its 3rd annual play reading series - this year focused on Climate Change - in Brooklyn's Flatbush-Ditmas Park.

WP Theater, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, has announced that the world premiere of playwright and performer Donnetta Lavinia Grays' Where We Stand, co-presented by WP Theater and Baltimore Center Stage, will star Grays [Men on Boats, In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play)], who will alternate select performances with David Ryan Smith (One Man, Two Guvnors; Passing Strange) beginning February 15. Directed by Tamilla Woodard (Hadestown Broadway associate director), previews begin Off-Broadway on Friday, January 31 at WP Theater with an opening night of February 11, 2020. The limited engagement at WP Theater will run through March 1, 2020 before playing Baltimore Center Stage April 2-26.

New Georges presents the co-world premiere of Leap and the Net Will Appear, by Chana Porter, and directed byTara Ahmadinejad.
