The singing sisters Callaway are, as usual, the greatest act in town, sister or otherwise.

The a cappella group Straight No Chaser, from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., is touring in celebration of their 25th anniversary with a stop at Overture Center on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Overture Hall.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the 13th Annual “A Swinging Birdland Christmas” – starring vocalists Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso, and Billy Stritch – for six performances from Tuesday, December 20 to Sunday, December 25 at 5:30 PM.

Global leader in comedy, Just For Laughs, in collaboration with leading live entertainment company, AEG Presents, and The O2, the world's most popular music, leisure and entertainment venue, have shared details of the first slate of programming to be added to the first-ever edition of Just For Laughs LONDON.

To commemorate what would have been her 60th birthday (on February 2), Blix Street Records will release a landmark new album, which pairs Cassidy's impeccable voice with the backing of the legendary London Symphony Orchestra.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present singer and violinist Edmund Bagnell in “Home for the Holidays” on Monday, December 12 at 8:30 PM. The countdown to the holidays is on, and through music and humor Bagnell shares his heartfelt and humorous recipe for a perfectly imperfect holiday season.

Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles has announced R&B and pop artist Shanice as Guest Artist for A Motown Holiday, which kicks off GMCLA’s Season 44.

Susan Mack debuted her new show at Birdland Jazz Club. Susan brought her jazz vocals to American Songbook and Popular songs from the 1930's to the 1990's. Directed by Lina Koutrakos and backed by Susan's trio of musicians including Tedd Firth (Piano), David Finck (Bass), Eric Halvorson (Drums), with guest appearance by Trumpeter Benny Benack III.

Liquid Theatre Collective and Randy Donaldson, Executive Producer, will present two additional private, invitation only readings of MARIAN, an original musical based on the life of world-renowned contralto, Marian Anderson.

The Alliance Theatre will welcome celebrated musician Adam L. McKnight to the Hertz Stage for A Gift of Love with Adam L. McKnight. Along with several guest artists and friends, McKnight will perform popular hits from a variety of genres, beloved originals, and holiday standards for two weeks from December 7–23, 2022.

The winner of America’s longest running talent show, Amateur Night at The Apollo will be crowned. From a global pool of vocalists, rappers, dancers, instrumentalists, comedians, spoken-word artists, and other performers, one talented entertainer will be taking home the highly coveted Amateur Night Grand Prize.

We all love to reminisce. A trip down memory lane is highly satisfying. In fact, for those of us who are devotees of The American Songbook, reminiscing is sort of our gig. Susan Mack has made it the theme of her evening, SUSAN MACK: YESTERDAYS, which opened yesterday at Birdland. And Ms. Mack is, indeed a singer worth remembering. She has a voice as full-bodied as honey, with impeccable pitch and delicious taste in music. She put together a program of classy, often rueful tunes about days gone by, both hers and ours. As she points out, the beauty of calling a show YESTERDAYS is that you can sing anything written before today.

Abby Payne (The Gunfighter Meets His Match) and Craig Winberry (The Life and Music of George Michael) are back by popular demand at 54 Below to present Christmas Spirits: Neat Edition. It’s the cheerful return of their original holiday cabaret filled with laughter, joy, and soul-warming classic Christmas music. 

P!NK will rejoin the AMA stage to perform a tribute to 10-time AMA winner Olivia Newton-John. Stevie Wonder will be joined by Charlie Puth and Ari Lennox for a never-before-seen tribute to the Icon Award recipient, Lionel Richie. These performers join previously announced artists Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, JID, Yola, and house DJ D-Nice.
