When a mysterious stranger arrives with some surprising news, King is forced to confront his destiny, his accomplishments, and his legacy to his people.

Torrance Theatre Company newest venture, PLAY-AT-HOME, presents a series of free online theatrical experiences, each designed to entertain audiences during the stay-at-home orders. On Sunday, June 14 at 6pm, I tuned in and really enjoyed SLOW FOOD, playwright Wendy MacLeod's tender comedy that delves deeply into what we hunger for, be it food, attention or love. The 90-minute play centers on Irene and Peter (Cindy Shields and Glenn Kelman) who just want to have a nice meal out while celebrating their anniversary in Palm Springs. But their highly neurotic waiter, Stephen (Daniel Tennant), prefers to talk rather than bring them their food or drinks.

DRACULA Opens on Friday 10/13 at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its debut season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with Dracula by Steven Dietz, from the novel by Bram Stoker opening Friday October 13. The production runs through November 4, and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips. Longtime ensemble member Giles Davies reprises his role as Dracula, alongside Artistic Associate Miranda McGee as Lucy, Jim Hopkins as Van Helsing, Crystian Wiltshire as Jonathan Harker, Caitlin McWethy as Mina, Billy Chace as Renfield, and Kyle Brumley as Dr. Seward. All seats in the new Otto M. Budig Theater are less than 20 feet from the stage so audiences will be amazed at how close to the passion they will be!

NTC Stages Peter Shaffer Comedy LETTICE AND LOVAGE 2/3-19

Novato Theater Company opens 2017 with Sir Peter Shaffer's award-winning comedy, Lettice and Lovage.  The author of Equus and Amadeus plunges into droll comedy about two women who could not be more opposite.  The play is directed by Renee Mandel-Sher and produced by Mark Clark.  It runs February 3-19 at the NTC Playhouse, 5420 Nave Drive in Novato.

Nashville Repertory Theatre Now Accepting Applications for 2016-17 Ingram New Works Lab

Now through June 13, 2016, Nashville Repertory Theatre is accepting applications from playwrights for the 2016-17 Ingram New Works Lab. The Lab is one of three components of the Ingram New Works Project, the other two being the Ingram New Works Fellowship and the Ingram New Works Festival. The Project was launched by Nashville Rep in 2009 thanks to the generous support of Martha R. Ingram.
