On March 10, 2022 New York City’s Obie Award-winning The Fire This Time Festival will release an anthology entitled 25 Plays from The Fire This Time Festival: A Decade of Recognition, Resistance, Resilience, Rebirth and Black Theatre.
The festival, which was originally scheduled to run January 17-February 6, 2022 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), features World Premiere 10-minute plays by early career and under-represented playwrights from the African diaspora. Information on the new performance dates will be announced in the coming months.

Definition Theatre presents the Chicago premiere of America v.2.1: The Sad Demise & Eventual Extinction of the American Negro by Stacey Rose and directed by Artistic Director Tyrone Phillips. America V.2.1 will stream virtually on demand from November 2 – November 21, 2021. The virtual press opening will stream on November 2, 2021. Victory Gardens Theater will hold a series of Town Halls to introduce Ken-Matt to the VG community and share news about Victory Gardens’ future. The first event, “Ask Me Anything with Ken-Matt Martin” will be held on Zoom on August 2, 2021, from 6:00-7:15pm Central.

Colt Coeur's 4-show fall season continues on November 21st, with a livestream performance reuniting the 2019 world premiere cast of Stacey Rose's award-winning America v. 2.1, directed by Logan Vaughn. The cast includes Ansa Akyea, Jordan Barrow, Kalyne Coleman, Peterson Townsend & Peggy Pharr Wilson.
