HERE will welcome Bengali theater-maker Shayok Misha Chowdhury, playwright and director Normandy Sherwood, and instrumentalist gamin and sound & visual composer Sachiyo Takahashi as new members of the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP).

In response to the current pandemic, the OBIE-winning HERE has announced additional free online programming designed to uplift audiences during these challenging times.

Presented by Little Shadow Productions and Art Farm, and with music by Emmy Award-winning Paul Rudolph, ALL HALLOWS EVE is an immersive experience that compels its audience to adopt the belief of a child - to open up its collective mind and believe in something whose existence cannot be simply explained away like a magic trick. Although, this production is not just about suspension of belief; indeed, it is not meant for children at all.

HERE has announced that applications for the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) are currently open. This multi-year, $100,000 residency program was created in 1999 and serves as a national model. HARP provides commission funds, development support, career planning, fiscal sponsorship, and a full production to recipients, all within a collaborative environment of peers working across artistic disciplines including theatre, dance, music, puppetry, visual art, and new media. HARP provides significant long-term support, as well as up to $50,000 in cash and more than $50,000 in space, equipment, and services over two to three years. Each residency is tailored to the needs of the artist.

Martin P. Robinson Productions and Little Shadow Productions presents All Hallows Eve, a wild, horror musical journey across the grey veil on a Halloween night, testing a sister's and brother's love against the forces of true evil, with book, lyrics and puppet design by Martin P. Robinson (Little Shop of Horrors; a?oeSesame Streeta??) and music by Paul Rudolph (Emmy Award-winning composer, a?oeSesame Streeta??, a?oeGLANKa??).  

HERE has announced its 2019-2020 season, which marks the OBIE-winning institution's 27th year of producing daring new hybrid performances by artists from all disciplines - theatre, opera, music, art, dance, puppetry, and media art.

On May 13, the OBIE-winning HERE will honor MacArthur fellow Taylor Mac and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation ArtsProgram at BLOOM, HERE's annual spring gala. The evening celebrates Mac, a playwright, actor, singer-songwriter, performance artist, director and producer and "critical darling of the New York scene" (New York Magazine) who also has been HERE's resident playwright since 2016. Mac's current Broadway debut, Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, was commissioned by HERE and written during Mac's residency.

HERE welcomes composer and singer Gelsey Bell, OBIE and Doris Duke award-winning playwright Julia Jarcho, and NAACP-nominated theatre-maker Nia O. Witherspoon as new members of the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP).

Each year, HERE offers a window into the creative process of their nationally recognized HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP). During the Culturemart Festival, running March 18-23, process becomes the focus, inviting audiences to experience work at various stages of development on their way to full productions.

Tectonic Theater Project and The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture have announced an array of programs to accompany the New York premiere of Uncommon Sense, written by Anushka Paris-Carter and Andy Paris and directed by Andy Paris, produced by Tectonic Theater Project under the artistic direction of Mois s Kaufman.

This biennial festival highlights new contemporary puppet theatre from many of the world's leading puppet artists during the month of November, including Heather Henson, Ty Defoe, Tom Lee, Koryu Nishikawa V, Loco7 Dance Puppet Theatre Company and Maiko Kikuchi.

Powerhouse runs now through November 23, 2014 in a limited engagement at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.
