Jason Robert Brown's landmark musical Songs for a New World (New York City Center 2018 Encores! Off-Center Cast Recording) is released today, Friday, January 25, in streaming and digital formats, in addition to a two-CD set. This is the show's first recording since the world premiere album over 20 years ago. In the ensuing years, these songs have become staples of contemporary musical theater, including the modern standard "Stars and the Moon." The LEXington Theatre Company (The LEX) welcomed Joe Carroll (Bandstand, Cinderella, Once), Dan DeLuca (Newsies First National Tour), Eloise Kropp (Dames at Sea, CATS, On The Town), and Solea Pfeiffer (City Center Songs For a New World, Hamilton West Coast Tour) to Kentucky, to headline the fifth edition of their signature 'Concert With The Stars' on January 5.

She is best known for playing Nessarose in Wicked on Broadway and on tour. Catherine is originally from the Charlottesville area, so she was visiting town to see her family while spending some time with us as well. The FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). Festival events kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30! a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

The Arthur Miller Foundation's inaugural Arthur Miller Foundation Honors celebrating the power of public school arts education will be hosted by Alec Baldwin.  Event Co-Chairs include Rebecca Miller, Steven Spielberg & Kate Capshaw, Sandi Farkas, Janine & Michael Smith. Honors to take place on October 22, 2018 at City Winery in New York City. This year, the foundation will honor HBO Documentary Films with the Arthur Miller Foundation Legacy Award and Tony Kushner with the Arthur Miller Foundation Humanitarian Award. The foundation will also recognize one veteran public school teacher who has displayed excellence in theater education with the Arthur Miller Foundation Arts Education Award.
