Gallant Unveils New Video for 'Sweet Insomnia' Feat. 6lack

GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer Gallant unveils his highly-anticipated official video for 'Sweet Insomnia' feat. 6lack from his most recent album of the same name. The video debuted this morning on BET Soul and BET Her at 3am PST / 6am EST and will continue to air every hour throughout the day. Retro design meets bohemian décor in the artistic visual, directed by Cameron Dean, as Gallant croons bittersweet lyrics over the intoxicating melody. In 2019, Gallant attained critical-acclaim for his Sweet Insomnia album with support from NPR, Complex, Billboard and many more, in addition to standout track 'Sleep On It' reaching the Top 20 at Urban Radio. This year, Gallant continues to ascend with a new Sweet Insomnia headlining tour kicking off in Los Angeles on February 15th, which includes support from VanJess and Ro James. 

Emit Theatre Will Present TWELFTH NIGHT: AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

Emit Theatre will present TWELFTH NIGHT: An Immersive Experience, an interactive show for young audiences and families, adapted from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and directed by Gianna Cioffi. Twelfth Night runs for a limited engagement March 13 - 22, Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 3pm and 7pm, and Sundays at 2pm at El Barrio's Artspace PS109 (215 E. 99th St., off the Q and 6 trains). Previews of COAL COUNTRY to Begin at The Public Theater

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances for the world premiere of the new play COAL COUNTRY, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen with original music by Steve Earle, on Tuesday, February 18 with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance in the Anspacher Theater. Directed by Jessica Blank, this riveting new work will run through Sunday, March 29, with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 3.

Steven Van Zandt Marks 30th Anniversary of Mandela Prison Release with 'Sun City' Vinyl Remaster

Little Steven, aka Steven Van Zandt, is commemorating today's 30th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's historic release from a South African prison after 27 years in captivity with the announcement that his 1985 landmark protest album, Sun City, by Artists United Against Apartheid, the extraordinary supergroup brought together by Van Zandt, producer Arthur Baker and journalist Danny Schechter to fight racial injustice in South Africa, will be released on vinyl for the first time since its initial release 35 years ago. The long-out-of-print LP joins five additional classic albums from Van Zandt making all of Little Steven's records from his early career once again available on vinyl.

York Theatre Company Will Present The World Premiere Of CHEEK TO CHEEK: IRVING BERLIN IN HOLLYWOOD

The York Theatre Company will present the Off-Broadway premiere of Cheek to Cheek: Irving Berlin in Hollywood, a song and dance celebration featuring the music and lyrics of the legendary Irving Berlin, with book by Barry Kleinbort (13 Things About Ed Carpolotti) and music direction by David Hancock Turner (York's Desperate Measures), directed and choreographed by four-time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (42nd Street, Dames at Sea, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, and Ain't Broadway Grand). Performances begin Friday, April 17, 2020 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2020 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Ask anyone to describe the Three Musketeers, and you'll get the usual answers: three heroes, bound together in brotherhood, inseparable in the most dire circumstances. They were a holy trinity of masculinity and friendship, the #SquadGoals of the 19th century. But unless one were intimately familiar with Alexandre Dumas' novel or its many adaptations, five will get you ten the average Joe today would be remiss to actually name all of them. That's not the fault of the average Joe, but rather the reputation that precedes these fictional characters. Most would be familiar with what they are, not necessarily who they are.
