In the midst of a?oedarkness on the face of the deepa??, new works development organization Live & In Color is launching their latest online initiative Days of Re-Creation, a seven part series of short plays written to be performed specifically on a virtual platform.

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at 7PM EDT.

New York Theatre Barn will continue to host weekly free live streams of its New Works Series through June 10th, 2020. Upcoming installments of the series include the new musicals Mary and Max, Second Line, Newton's Cradle, Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan, Teeth and Māyā.

The York Theatre Company, as part of its acclaimed NEO Reading Series, will present a staged reading of the new musical Borders, with book, music, and lyrics by 2019 NEO writers Janine McGuire and Arri Lawton Simon, based on the film The Bubble by Eytan Fox and Gal Uchovsky, for ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Admission to the presentation is by invitation only.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Rona Siddiqui in 'Rona's Turn' on January 9, 2020. Rona Siddiqui, composer of acclaimed musicals Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan, One Good Day, and The Tin, makes her Feinstein's/54 Below debut in Rona. After years of encouraging so many others to find their voices, Rona steps into the spotlight to claim her own. Featuring songs from her musicals as well as tunes featuring her popular boomwhacking crew, Rona and her special guests will hit you with the aplomb of a Bette and the irreverence of a Muppet.

Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan, with book, music and lyrics by Rona Siddiqui, will hold an invited industry reading on November 15, 2019. The reading will be directed by Raja Feather Kelly, with Music Direction by Emily Goldman and Dramaturgy by Jessica Kahkoska.

THML Theatre Company concludes its fall reading series with a presentation of Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan by Rona Siddiqui. Directed by Marshall Pailet and music directed by Heathcliff Saunders, the reading will take place on Monday, November 12th at 2:00pm at Ripley Grier Studios.

New York based composer and lyricist, Rona Siddiqui will be joined by Mykal Kilgore (Motown), Kenita Miller (Once on this Island), Samia Mounts (We Live in Cairo workshop), Jonathan Raviv (The Band's Visit), Sherz Aletaha (Disaster!), and Waseem Alzer (We Live in Cairo workshop) at The Kennedy Center in a concert, Rona Siddiqui: Halfghan on a Mission, featuring her original music on November 15 at 6 PM.

Casting has been announced for THE FLOOD, an original musical inspired by the historic 1993 Mississippi River Floods. This one night only special concert presentation will take place at TheTimesCenter (242 West 41st Street) on Saturday, September 8 at 8pm. Produced by the Prospect Theater Company, THE FLOOD kicks off their 2018-2019 season and this IGNITE series concert is presented in partnership with Greymatters Productions.

DISASTER!, the 1970s disaster movie musical comedy, will play its final performance Off-Broadway tonight, April 11th, after a smash six-month run at the St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street). Disaster! began previews on October 14th, 2013 and opened to critical acclaim on November 4th, 2013. The musical, which performs in repertory with other productions at the St. Luke's Theatre, will have played 11 previews and 86 performances at the time of its closing.
