Starting this week, The Actors Studio will continue its 75th Anniversary celebration as the world’s most celebrated and influential membership association for professional actors, directors and playwrights. In December, the legendary studio will open its doors to the public for with three special events, each free and open to the public.

This December, The Actors Studio continues its 75th Anniversary celebration as the world's most celebrated and influential membership association for professional actors, directors and playwrights. The legendary studio, located at 432 West 44th Street, will open its doors to the public for with three special events, each free and open to the public.

MISS HOPE SPRINGS Marks Ten Years at The Crazy Coqs

It's been ten years since legendary musical, comedy, cabaret star Miss Hope Springs (written and performed by Mr Ty Jeffries) was first invited by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin to be resident songstress at their soon-to-open 'jewel box of a cabaret room' in Piccadilly. Hope visited the building site in a sequined high-vis jacket and hard hat, said 'Mais oui!' and launched the programme with her weekly Sunday Soirées.

Later adapted for the stage by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1955.  A subsequent film version in 1959 received nine Oscar nominations and earned Shelley Winters an Academy Award for her performance.  Also of note about this Vermont production, director Jones’s late sister-in-law Susan Strasberg was the original ANNE FRANK when the play debuted on Broadway.

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President & CEO) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, CEO) have just announced that the 65th Annual Obie Awards, New York's preeminent celebration of Off- and Off-Off Broadway theater, will premiere on YouTube.com/AmericanTheatreWing on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 8:00 PM EDT.  The prerecorded ceremony will be hosted by comedian, actor and writer Cole Escola (Hulu's Difficult People, FXX's Man Seeking Woman, Amazon Prime's Mozart in the Jungle), who will also perform with surprise special guests.
