WCSU Theatre Arts Department To Stage THE WILD PARTY

Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 poem, the musical 'The Wild Party' will come to the stage at Western Connecticut State University for the first two weekends of November. Presented by the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts, the first round of performances will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9; at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11. The following weekend, performances will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16; at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18.
CSUF's MR. BURNS: A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY Opens This Friday

"Mr. Burns: a Post-Electric Play," written by Anne Washburn and directed by Kyle Cooper, features a group of survivors after the collapse of civilization. The survivors surround a campfire and reminisce about the plot of an episode of "The Simpsons" television show titled "Cape Feare." The production runs November 9-December 2, 2018 in the Young Theatre on campus with Musical Direction by Craig Shields and Choreography by Angeline Mirenda.
Two Time Academy Award Winner Barbara Kopple's A MURDER IN MANSFIELD To Premiere On Investigation Discovery

Two-time Oscar®-winning director Barbara Kopple has partnered with America's leading true-crime network, Investigation Discovery (ID) to explore the legacy of the notorious 1989 murder of Noreen Boyle in Mansfield, Ohio in the new documentary, A MURDER IN MANSFIELD. The film chronicles Noreen's son Collier's journey for answers and peace in the aftermath of his mother's death nearly three decades ago. A MURDER IN MANSFIELD will have its national television debut exclusively on Investigation Discovery on November 17, 2018 at 9 pm.

Weathervane Theatre in Whitefield, NH has appointed Ethan Paulini as Producing Artistic Director. Paulini served as Acting Co-Artistic Director during the 2018 53rd Season. He began as a member of the AEA Acting Company in 2012 and has also served as director of the intern program.

New York Composers Premiering Music at Fordham University Concert Series

String Quartet New York, Fordham University's (Fordham) annual series featuring contemporary works by New York City composers, will take place Friday, November 16 at Fordham's Lowenstein Building. The concert is curated by Lawrence Kramer (Kramer), Distinguished Professor of English and Music at Fordham. Kramer has long provided artistic oversight to several compelling concert series that extend and challenge traditional classical forms, founding the Voices Up! vocal concert series at Fordham nearly 10 years ago.

Jesse Murphy and James Sears Bryant's new shop, Jesse James Films, has partnered with Oklahoma City University on a developmental workshop. The company will present to a private audience at The Naulte Fine Art Gallery in downtown Oklahoma today, Friday, November 2nd at 7pm.
