The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts virtually hosted more than 125 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. 

The Music Hall announced another round of shows coming to their newly renovated venue, The Music Hall Lounge. Continuing the grand opening celebration weekend, stand up comedian and actor Michael Ian Black will perform two shows; other opening weekend shows include a sold out concert by Darlingside and two sets with comedian Pat McGann. The latest Lounge schedule runs through October, with more rounds of announcements scheduled throughout May and into June.

Ten pianists have been chosen to advance to the Semifinals of Canada's Honens International Piano Competition. The pianists (aged 21 to 31) come from seven countries: Austria, Hungary, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, and the United States.

Gingold Theatrical Group is presenting SPEAKER'S CORNER Writers Group. This season, writers Aeneas Sagar Hemphill, Divya Mangwani, Marcus Scott and Mallory Jane Weiss are developing works in response to prompts from the revolutionary activist humanitarian writings and precepts of George Bernard Shaw.

The Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival's 33rd Season returns to Sen̓ákw/Vanier Park, and begins with the all-time favourite, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Outer Critics Circle (OCC), the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications, has announced the winners of the 71st Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards, honoring the 2021-2022 Broadway and Off-Broadway season.

Cygnet Theatre is pleased to announce its full line up for 2022/2023 Season. The season kicks off with the World Premiere of the risqué comedic drama The Little Fellow (Or - The Queen of Tarts Tells All) by one of the nations top produced playwrights (2017-2020) Kate Hamill (Pride & Prejudice); directed by Associate Artistic Director Rob Lutfy.

Brooklyn-based nonprofit Photoville has announced Photoville NYC 2022 (June 4 - 26), marking the outdoor festival’s celebratory return to a summer format for the first time in 10 years, and filling all five of New York’s boroughs with expansive and vivid views of our world.

Bringing to life the legendary hits of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf, the critically acclaimed production Bat Out of Hell – The Musical heads to Milton Keynes for two weeks from 14 June.

Midlake has announced an eagerly anticipated performance at the upcoming Newport Folk Festival 2022, set for Newport, RI’s Fort Adams State Park on Saturday, July 23.
