Arthur Schnitzler’s classic tale of love and infidelity, ROUND DANCE, is coming to New York in a new translation from the German by H. Clark Kee, who also directs. ROUND DANCE begins performances on Thursday, March 10 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 27. 

BOOMERANG THEATRE COMPANY has announced their triumphant return to live in-person theater with William Shakespeare’s COMEDY OF ERRORS, directed by Scott Ebersold. COMEDY OF ERRORS will play four performances only at The  Tea Room at The Prince George Hotel (15 East 27th Street, NYC).

Television icon, Dorothy Lyman, who is well known for playing Opal Gardner on All My Children and Naomi Oates Harper on Mama's Family, will premiere her new play, In the Bleak Midwinter, at Shetler Studios' Theatre 54, in Manhattan. The production stars Blue Bloods series regular, Abigail Hawk. The limited engagement runs September 8 - 23.

On Monday, July 23, 2018, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 14 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2018 nominees at its annual event, The IT Party. Celebrating fourteen years and thousands of nominees at le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleeker Street.

After a run in July's 'Shakespeare in the Theater' festival at The Brick, IRT presents Strange Harbor's epic history cycle This England: The Complete Kings 1377-1485 (Abridged) for four more performances this weekend, August 25th to 28th.

Who is the rightful king of England? Eight actors perform over 40 roles in a condensed adaptation of Shakespeare's play cycle chronicling over a hundred years of war, murder, seduction, and betrayal as one family tries to answer the most hotly contested political question of the middle ages.

Voted 'the most significant English language play of the 20th century" in a survey of playwrights, Waiting for Godot is considered a masterpiece of surrealist existentialism. Two wandering vagabonds, Vladimir and Estragon, wait by a lonely tree, to meet up with Mr. Godot, an enigmatic figure in a world where time, place and memory are blurred and meaning is where you find it. The men hope that Godot will change their lives for the better. Instead, two eccentric travelers arrive, one man on the end of the other's rope. The results are both surprisingly funny and somehow touching, and the trip will bend your brain in this vigorous conception of Samuel Beckett's classic.

En Garde Arts presents BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, this weekend, October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. The opening night party at The Frying Pan will now take place on October 23 at 7pm. (Tickets for the opening night party, on board the Frying Pan at Pier 66, are $250 or $75 for artists.)

Due to tropical storm Joachim, En Garde Arts has postponed BOSSS, its new site-specific outdoor performance festival featuring new works by some of the New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists, to October 23-25 throughout Hudson River Park. This fall, En Garde Arts, the company founded and recently resurrected by pioneering theater producer Anne Hamburger, launches BOSSS (Big Outdoor Site-Specific Stuff), a new site-specific performance festival featuring new works by some of New York City's most promising emerging theatre artists. Hamburger has established BOSSS to give a rising generation of spirited artists a chance to 'think big' when creating new work, and to help them cultivate an audience spanning frequent theatergoers and people who rarely seek out live arts deliberately. Under her mentorship and guidance, teams of playwrights, directors, devisers, choreographers and designers are creating nine innovative works that En Garde will present throughout Hudson River Park, October 2 - 4. Ego Actus (Bruce A! Kraemer and Joan Kane producers) will present The Tragedy of Dandelion by Duncan Pflaster from May 22nd through June 8th at Urban Stages. Joan Kane directs a cast of 10 actresses who also double as men in 30 roles.
