Composer and prodigy Jason Robert Brown made his mark in the theatre world with his debut song cycle, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, which played Off-Broadway in 1995 and continues to be produced by/for theatre enthusiasts. And, although he's since had a handful of celebrated, yet unsuccessful Broadway attempts (THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, 13, HONEYMOON IN VEGAS), it's his two-person musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS that is most often seen onstage across the globe. But does the small show survive when stripped of its intimate nature, as in the production currently playing at WaterTower Theatre? The tough answer is both yes and no.

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director, Joanie Schultz, today announced casting and creative team details for the remainder of the 2017-2018 Main Stage Season, which includes the Regional Premiere of Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue by Quiara Alegr a Hudes, Bread, a World Premiere by Regina Taylor, The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, and the Regional Premiere of Hand to God by Robert Askins. The directors for the remainder of the Season include David Lozano, Leah C. Gardiner, Kelsey Leigh Ervi, and Joanie Schultz.

Following the smashing success of the 2016 production of Aida, the critically acclaimed Uptown Players and the Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC), Dallas' award-winning men's chorus, are thrilled to collaborate again to present a concert version of the musical Titanic from May 5-7, 2017 at Dallas City Performance Hall (2520 Flora Street, Dallas).

This Saturday, WaterTower Theatre will produce a one-night-only benefit concert production of PARADE, a musical the theatre produced 10 years ago in their 2006-2007 Season. Inspired by the true events surrounding the 1913 murder trial of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jew living in Georgia who is wrongly convicted of the murder of 13-year old Mary Phagan, PARADE is filled with soaring music and a heart-wrenching story, offering a moral lesson about the dangers of prejudice and ignorance that should not be forgotten.  Amid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, the stirring Tony Award-winning PARADE explores the endurance of love and hope.

With Music and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and a Book by Alfred Uhry, Parade will play a special one-night only performance on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre.

Written by Adam Guettel, the grandson of Richard Rodgers (one-half of Rodgers and Hammerstein), the show centers around a vacation love story and the challenges that come from it.

Written by Richard Bean, One Man, Two Guvnors will run August 5-28, 2016. Brian Gonzales, currently performing on Broadway as Babkak in Disney's Aladdin, will star as Francis Henshall. Gonzales, who last performed on the WaterTower Theatre stage in Laughter on the 23rd Floor (2010), will reprise the role he understudied in the Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors.

The musical will open WaterTower Theatre's 2015-2016 Season on Monday, October 5, 2015 (with previews tonight, October 2, Saturday, October 3, and a Gala Preview performance on Sunday, October 4). Kate Galvin, Associate Producer at the 11th Hour Theatre Company in Philadelphia, will direct. CREEP is produced by Terry Martin.
