Due to popular demand, the immersive hit Masquerade will extend for a fifth time through Summer 2026. Masquerade will now play an additional 9 weeks through Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 218 West 57th Street.

Quentin Earl Darrington, Ryan Vona, and Addie Morales will step into the roles of Phantom and Christine in the off-Broadway hit Masquerade. New additional cast members have been revealed.

The new musical, Glory Ride, which tells the true story of Tour de France champion Gino Bartali, who secretly saved hundreds of innocent lives during Mussolini’s Fascist reign in World War II, will have two NYC industry readings.

A bold new musical inspired by the life and legacy of Russian opposition leader Alexsei Navalny will receive its first concert presentation at Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret Theater (343 W. 46th St., New York) on Tuesday, October 21, at 9:30 p.m.

Cody Gerszewski's A Room with a View musical, based on the classic novel by E.M. Forster, will get a private industry presentation  at the AMT Theater (354 W 45th Street, New York NY 10036). The event will be held on Wednesday September 17.

It seems an impossible feat to follow in the shadow of the legendary Barbara Streisand who originated the iconic role of Fanny Brice in the 1964 Broadway production of FUNNY GIRL, which received eight Tony Award nominations.  But Hannah Shankman marched herself onto the stage at the Ohio Theatre and commanded every beat of the drum.  She’s quirky, clever, adorable, ambitious, lovable, and has impeccable comedic timing – but her show stopping voice is what sets her apart and generates thunderous, mouth-dropping applause.  And she does it with such natural ease.

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall recently hosted a captivating and vibrant production of “Funny Girl,” a classic musical that has endured the test of time and continues to resonate with audiences around the world. This Broadway tour, filled with laughter, heart, and stunning performances, brought an exhilarating experience to Sarasota's theatergoers, showcasing the undeniable talent of its cast, particularly Hannah Shankman and Sean Seamus Thompson.

Hannah Shankman will take over the role of Fanny Brice when the tour opens in Seattle on September 24th, 2024. She joins returning cast members Melissa Manchester as Mrs. Brice, Stephen Mark Lukas as Nick Arnstein, Izaiah Montaque Harris as Eddie Ryan, Walter Coppage as Florenz Ziegfeld, Leah Platt as Emma/Mrs. Nadler, Christine Bunuan as Mrs. Meeker, and David Foley Jr. as Tom Keeney.

When you think of the show 'Funny Girl,' one of the first things you probably think of is the person you saw bringing Fannie Brice to life on stage. For the show to work, you need someone who can deliver an iconic performance. That may be why it took nearly 60 years for the show to be revived on Broadway. Now, just short of 60 years, the revival's national tour is making a stop in Des Moines as part of the Willis Broadway Series. Judging from the audience response, there is a new iconic name that people will consider when thinking of 'Funny Girl.'

The producers of FUNNY GIRL, the sensational musical comedy revival, are delighted to announce full casting for the North American Tour coming to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis for a limited two-week engagement from January 23 to February 4.

Funny Girl is a semi-autobiographical comedic musical about the life and times of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, and her tumultuous relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein. With a musical score by Jules Styne, lyrics by Bob Merill, and featuring a book by Isobel Lennart, Funny Girl first opened on Broadway in 1964 featuring Barbara Streisand in the starring role, and was produced by Fanny’s own son-in-law Ray Stark. The first Broadway production received 8 Tony Nominations at the 18th Annual Awards Ceremony, and the OBC (Original Broadway Cast) Recording was inducted into the Grammy’s Hall of Fame in 2004.
