Irish Repertory Theatre is excited to announce The Sean O'Casey Season, a comprehensive retrospective of the work of renowned Irish playwright Sean O'Casey, to take place from January through May of Irish Rep's 30th Anniversary Season.

Written by the Oscar nominated Martin McDonagh, The Lonesome West will be the third in-house production from The Everyman this year following on from the success of Kevin Barry's Autumn Royal and the adaptation of Louise O'Neill's Asking For It. Directed by Julie Kelleher, who is also the Artistic Director of The Everyman, The Lonesome West opens on Tuesday, 31st July and continues until Saturday, 25th August.

This month, the Abbey Theatre invites audiences to jump start a thrilling multi-part project from award-winning multidisciplinary company ANU. The Lost O'Casey reframes a rarely published Sean O'Casey play, exploring motherhood and addiction, as a searing call to action. Audiences are invited to tumble through the private recesses of the Abbey Theatre to 'experience' the play and engage with the contemporary changing landscape of Dublin.

Seven months ago nine young people were given the exciting news that they had been selected for the Young Playwrights Programme at Graffiti Theatre Company. A project supported by Landmark Productions, the Everyman and Cork Midsummer Festival, the programme would see their work developed for a staged reading alongside the world premiere stage adaptation of Louise O'Neill's 'Asking For It'.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciar n O'Reilly, Producing Director) and Tara Finney Productions announced today a two-week extension of the 20th Anniversary Production of Enda Walsh's breakthrough play DISCO PIGS. Directed by John Haidar (Last of the Boys), DISCO PIGS began performances on January 5, 2018 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, and officially opened on January 9, 2018. It was announced today that the world premiere production of Asking for It by Louise O'Neill will be performed on the Abbey stage next November. This much anticipated production is produced by Landmark Productions and the Everyman and co-commissioned by the Abbey Theatre. Conceived as a large-scale, technically ambitious production, it will be adapted for stage by Meadhbh McHugh in a collaboration with Annabelle Comyn, who also directs. The creative team also includes set designer Paul O'Mahony; lighting designer Sinead McKenna; sound designer Philip Stewart. Tickets for both venues are on sale now.
