Mark the start of the holiday season with Diablo Ballet's perennial favorite, A Swingin' Holiday, and a freshly reimagined tale of another beloved celebrated Christmas classic, The Nutcracker Suite, from November 8 - 10 at the Del Valle Theatre in Walnut Creek. Now in its 26 th season, Diablo Ballet presents the much- anticipated return of A Swingin' Holiday, created in 2012 by Sean Kelly (currently the Associate Choreographer/Resident Director of the first national tour of a?oeAn American in Parisa??).

Times Square Arts, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and Sean Kelly, New York unveil artist Kehinde Wiley's first monumental public sculpture Rumors of War in Times Square, New York - Friday, September 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. on the Broadway Plaza between 46th and 47th Streets. The event on September 27 will include remarks from the artist and partners. 

Diablo Ballet's programming for the 2019-2020 season presents breathtaking performances of classic ballets by George Balanchine and Val Caniparoli and stunning contemporary works by today's top award-winning choreographers, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Penny Saunders, and Stanton Welch.

 Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) continues its Spring 2019 season on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7:30pm with a performance by St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble +Adam Rosenblatt, percussionist, at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater (450 W. 37th Street). Rosenblatt will perform Belgian composer Thierry de Mey's theatrical and dramatic piece Light Music, in which movements and gestures produce light and sound through interactive technology. This interdisciplinary solo performance will be bookended by Viennese classics - Joseph Haydn's festive Divertimento for Strings from 1754 and Joseph Lanner's charming 19th century waltzes, performed by the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble. These virtuosic musicians make up the artistic core of the renowned Orchestra of St. Luke's - who share the performing arts complex with BAC at 450 W. 37th Street.

Today, indie rockers A Fragile Tomorrow release their full-length album Generation Loss, a krautrock psych-leaning album that takes a massive, exciting turn from their old ways with a fresh eye on the future. Hit with hard times and every day lives as struggling young adults, the crew come full force with a collection of songs that are easily relatable to the colleagues of their generation.

Today, indie psych-rock band A Fragile Tomorrow release another track from their forthcoming album Generation Loss, available February 22 on MPress Records. The song, a krautrock-themed anthem titled 'How Do You Dance To It?', premiered yesterday on The 405 along with a choreographed music video that alludes to Trump's America.

As a tribute to Canadian songwriter activist Bruce Cockburn and a reminder that these issues are just as relevant now as they were in 1984, when he released his 'Stealing Fire' album, Twilight Fields presents his own rendition of 'Lovers in a Dangerous Time'.

Canada's Twilight Fields, the solo moniker of singer-songwriter Allister Thompson, has announced his new album 'Songs from the Age of Ruin', slated for release in early 2019. Ahead of this, he presents the first rather politically-charged single 'Demagogue', an expression of anti-populist sentiment.

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) concludes its Fall 2018 season on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7:30pm with Quodlibet Ensemble: Music by Biber, Martynov + Sharlat at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater (450 W. 37th Street). Quodlibet (Latin for 'whatever pleases') Ensemble is a string chamber orchestra of some of today's most sought-after musicians who come from top string quartets as well as period and new music groups. Highlighting their musical diversity, the ensemble performs an eclectic evening of classical music that spans different time periods and styles.

Opera Omaha will open its 61st season in the Orpheum Theater with Pagliacci, a quintessential Italian verismo opera, featuring the famously recognizable aria "Vesti la giubba". Pagliacci will be performed at the Orpheum Theater on Friday, October 19th at 7:30pm and Sunday, October 21st at 2:00pm.
