Saratoga Performing Arts Center has announced its 2024-2025 dance season in Spa Little Theater featuring modern dance troupes A.I.M by Kyle Abraham (NOV 9 & 10) and Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana (MARCH 8 & 9) for the world premiere of its new work QUINTO ELEMENTO.

Saratoga Performing Arts Center has established a new annual McCormack Jazz Series in honor of “Saratoga’s Champion of Jazz,” Don McCormack, and his family. Presented as part of SPAC’s 2024-2025 fall and spring seasons in Spa Little Theater, the inaugural series will feature a roster of international talent.

The Upstate Theater Coalition for a Fairgame has awarded over $167,000 Fairgame Arts Grants to 44 non-profit arts and cultural organizations in the three New York state casino regions: Capital Region, Catskills and Southern Tier.

Danny Melnick is no stranger to producing live music events. He began producing concerts, tours, and festivals in the late 1980s and hasn't even begun to slow down. In addition to producing the Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Festival, he also serves as the Artistic Director of Carnegie Hall's 'The Shape of Jazz' series, and was personally selected by the founder of the Newport Jazz Festival, George Wein, to serve first as the Associate Producer and ultimately the Producer of this festival. In all, Melnick has produced over 100 festivals in the U.S., Europe, and Japan.

Little Feat joins forces with Bonnie Raitt for a cover of Long Distance Call from Sam's Place, their first new studio album in 12 years. The album is out Friday, May 17. With her warm and deeply soulful vocals, Raitt duets with the band’s Sam Clayton on a cover of Muddy Waters’ song. Listen to the single now!

Bluegrass-Americana troubadours, Greensky Bluegrass have announced seven new tour dates to their Summer tour that will bring the band throughout the northeast and southeast this July and August. Tickets are on sale at 10:00AM local this Friday, May 10. The new dates build on the band’s extensive summer tour that includes several festival appearances including Mill Valley, DelFest, Bonnaroo and more.  The band’s summer tour officially kicks off in Kansas City on June 6.  

Greensky Bluegrass is thrilled to announce The Iceland Sessions due out May 10. The EP was recorded at Flóki Studios in the summer of 2023, just before their first-ever Icelandic run of shows at Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall. Following the release of The Iceland Sessions, Greensky will set out on their summer tour which kicks off on June 6 in Kansas City, MO.
