Amy Keys to Play Blackbox @ the Edye at The Broad Stage

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Amy Keys, on Friday, December 7 at 8:00pm. Amy Keys is the fourth evening of blackbox @ the edye, which transforms The Edye into a club featuring up-and-coming jazz and blues artists.  The series is curated and hosted by The Reverend Shawn Amos; he and his house band perform at select shows during the season as well.

Palace Theatre To Reopen November 2 After Complete Auditorium Renovation

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 92-year-old Palace Theatre has received a full facelift of its 2,691-seat auditorium. The first major renovation for the Palace since 1984, the six-month, main-hall makeover included the repair of damaged plaster, new paint in a new color scheme, all-new seats on the main floor, full refurbishment of balcony seats, and installation of a new LED house lighting system in the dome and main chandelier. The first public performance in the fully renovated auditorium will be Grammy-nominated comedian Jim Gaffigan on Friday, November 2.

Pay What You Can Tickets For Sarah McLachlan Concert At The PAC To Benefit Hurricane Florence Relief Efforts

The North Charleston Performing Arts Center announced today that 200 tickets for the Sarah McLachlan concert on Monday, September 24 will be sold as "Pay What You Can". All proceeds from the tickets will go to the Lowcountry Mayors Relief Fund at Coastal Community Foundation to help with relief efforts for Hurricane Florence. Minimum donation for a ticket is $10.

On Today, July 28, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will continue its highly touted Jazz Masters series with the Gerry Malkin Collective, renowned artists who have been called a 'quintessential... group that plays top-notch music' with pedigrees that 'run deep in the jazz hierarchy.' This performance will feature guest artist Ingrid Jensen on trumpet, an Ossining resident and internationally renowned musician. Led by Malkin on tenor sax, the distinctive post bebop sound of the Collective interprets music of the classic era of mid-twentieth century jazz, from Miles Davis to John Coltrane. The group will play at WCT's Black Box at 23 Water St. at 8:00pm.
