As a downtrodden teen clad in black while mournfully proclaiming that I, myself, am strange and unusual, the iconic Tim Burton film Beetlejuice was kept close to my dark heart. Eerily bizarre and chock full of campy yet raunchy humor, Beetlejuice didn't instill fear but rather brought delight in what is otherwise a morbid subject - death. Now, on the heels of the recently released Beetlejuce sequel, the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre welcomes the zany Beetle demon himself to shock and spook Toronto audiences.

OMG what a fun time I had experiencing BEETLEJUICE at Century II last night! The audience was having a blast, whooping and hollering, and gave the cast a standing ovation at the end of it all!
2025 has kicked off on a high note for Vancouver's theatre scene. Among the many shows debuting this month is one that perfectly captures the essence of chaos, featuring a quirky plot, catchy songs, and eccentric characters. BEETLEJUICE The Musical made its debut in Vancouver, BC on January 21 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Running until January 26, the show based off of the 1988 Beetlejuice film by Tim Burton, brings audiences into a new era of musical theatre.

The National Tour of Beetlejuice has found its new Lydia! Madison Mosley, who currently plays the Girl Scout and understudies the role of Lydie on tour, will officially take over the role beginning performances on October 22 in Fayetteville, AR.
In the past few years in film, television, and onstage, it’s been proven that nostalgia sells…and it sells well. So it only seems natural (or should I say supernatural) that a spooky season favorite film Beetlejuice would make its way to the stage in a big flashy Broadway musical.
Adapted from the 1988 Tim Burton cult classic, BEETLEJUICE - THE MUSICAL is an over-the-top, chaotic, and wildly unhinged reimagining that amps up the kooky-ness of its source material a thousand-fold. Mostly funny and entertaining despite its tonal shifts and forced outlandishness, the show elicits lots of laughs thanks to its title character.
Dear Readers, warning, I’m about to be a bit of a snob here. I know, big surprise. But I’m not the biggest fan of the musical, “Beetlejuice”, currently playing at the Paramount Theatre. I wasn’t a fan when I first heard the cast recording and now having seen it, I can’t say my opinion has changed all that much. A bit, but not much.
Join your friendly neighborhood demon, Beetlejuice, for a few hours of hilarity and horror. Broadway’s BEETLEJUICE is at Music Hall at Fair Park February 20-March 3.
