The box office of the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) opens today at 10 a.m. for Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel. Simultaneously, a cast of 39 assembles for the first day of rehearsal under the direction of three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreography by Justin Peck for this most deeply anticipated production of the new season which begins preview performances on Wednesday, February 28 and officially opens on Thursday, April 12.

BWW has learned that Bernadette Peters will stop by NBC's TODAY to discuss taking over the starring role in Broadway's HELLO, DOLLY!. The actress will appear during the show's 10-11 am time slot. We will bring you video of the appearance as soon as it becomes available!

Kitchen Theatre Company continues its 2017-2018 Season with the regional premiere of Ironbound by Martyna Majok, a gritty, honest, and at times humorous look at an immigrant experience in America. The revival of Carousel is on its way to Broadway and it looks like stage star Lindsay Mendez may be joining the cast. No official announcement has been made, but an eagle-eyed viewer caught the actress's name up on the Imperial's marquee.

Scott Rudin said, We wish Betsy well and are enormously disappointed she won't be able to join the company at the Imperial.
