Michael Ahomka-Lindsay and Bronté Barbé lead the new cast announced for UK premiere of Newsies

Eva Fontaine and Susie McKenna pair up for the UK Premiere of Bright Half Life by award winning American playwright Tanya Barfield, directed by Steven Kunis, twice nominated for Best Director at the Off West End Theatre Awards. Depicting queer love in the richest and most original of ways, Bright Half Life is an intensely romantic and moving play depicting love that is complicated and ever-changing.

What if life came with a rewind button? Jumping across time, Bright Half Life, by award-winning American playwright Tanya Barfield, tells the four-and-a-half-decade story of Vicky and Erica, who meet, fall in love, start a family, and traverse the highs, lows, joys, and fears that come from sharing your life with someone else.

Papatango announced that Clive Judd has won the 14th annual Papatango New Writing Prize for his debut full-length play, Here, from a record 1,553 entries. Also announced were the other shortlisted writers: Georgia Bruce for Time, Like The Sea; Jennifer Lunn for Core; Esme Mahoney for Wishbone, and Dilan Raithatha for Little India.

Today Paines Plough and Theatre Royal Plymouth have released a first look at new play SORRY, YOU’RE NOT A WINNER written by Samuel Bailey and directed by Jesse Jones.

A coming of age tale navigating class, friendship and new surroundings, SORRY, YOU’RE NOT A WINNER will debut at Theatre Royal Plymouth from 24 February for a limited 2 week run before touring around the UK, including Bristol and Newcastle with further dates to be announced.

Tickets for the Plymouth run are now available to members and will go on general sale from 29 October.

The 71st Annual ACE Eddie Awards presented by American Cinema Editors (ACE) today announced winners LIVE during a virtual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding editing in 14 categories of film, television and documentaries.

Josef Davies is an actor known for his roles on stage in Bent (National Theatre) and on-screen in Chernobyl and Call the Midwife. We spoke to Davies about his role in Samuel Bailey’s Shook, which is now available to view online as a film following a critically acclaimed run at the Southwark Playhouse in 2019.
