The 28th Annual San Luis Obispo International Film Festival (April 26-May 1) announced that Dale Dickey (A Love Song) will receive the King Vidor Award at next week’s film festival and Michael Showalter (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) will be this year’s Spotlight Award honoree. Maybin Hewes has a show business career that spans eight decades. She started out as a child performer in Mississippi, appeared on TV in New Orleans as a teenager, and went on to a lengthy and active career as a dancer and singer in many shows on Broadway, off Broadway, at the Paper Mill Playhouse, on national tours and in regional theatre.
