Playwright Danny Robins’ 2:22 – A Ghost Story will have its U.S. premiere November 4, 2022 (with previews starting October 29th) at the Center Theater Group’s Ahmanson. Matthew Dunster directs the cast of four: Constance Wu, Anna Camp, Adam Rothenberg, and Finn Wittrock.  I persuaded  Finn to chat about 2:22, as well as reminisce on some of his career highlights.

Based on Michael Ausiello’s best-selling memoir “Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies,” the film stars Jim Parsons, Ben Aldridge, Bill Irwin, Jeffery Self and Sally Field. Check out the new film poster photo now!

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) teams up in a poignant theatre collaboration with beloved and celebrated Twin Cities icons, Nancy Nelson & Don Shelby, as they star in LOVE LETTERS at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres for a limited four performance engagement in November.

Director Sidney Lumet followed a string of Oscar®-winning 1970s classics with this lavish adaptation of the popular Broadway musical The Wiz, noted for its lively score and all-Black cast.  The Academy Museum’s first anniversary screening of The Wiz will feature live dance performances by the Debbie Allen Dance Studio youth performers.

The Actors Studio will host a 75th Anniversary benefit screening of the Academy Award-winning film Dog Day Afternoon, followed by a live interview with the film’s star and The Actors Studio co-president Al Pacino. The Gala event will take place Thursday, October 27 at 7PM, the United Palace.

There is a Granny at the Pianny, a funny wolf, and an adorable Little Riding Hood. There are opportunities for audience participation as Little Red Riding Hood goes through the woods to Granny's house. Fun for the whole family.

Mexican-American musical theatre writer and performer Robi Hager (Broadway's Spring Awakening, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Bye Bye Birdie, Doctor Zhivago; National Tours of Fun Home and Spring Awakening) is preparing for the industry workshop premiere of his original musical Little Duende.

Theatre West, Hollywood's professional theatre company celebrating its 60th Anniversary year, announces its 2022-2023 season. The new season includes a wide variety of theatrical entertainments, with selections for every age group.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Sometimes a new play comes along that has all the right ingredients for a delectable theatrical recipe.

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke, who previously directed the highly-acclaimed documentary, “Seymour: An Introduction,” directs the six-part documentary. Academy Award-winning director, writer and producer Martin Scorsese serves as executive producer. THE LAST MOVIE STARS premiered at SXSW followed by Cannes in May.

A private industry reading of Ask, I Will Tell, a new musical by Ben Diskant, will be presented in New York City on Thursday, June 23 at 3pm. 

Too Old. Too Asian. Too Short. is subtitled 'The Story of an Unlikely Showgirl,' but that actually comes up later in Pamela K. Najera's absorbing story.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to share production photos of Windfall, the first show of the 2022 Mainstage Season. The new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander, will make its East Coast premiere this week on Tuesday, May 31, and runs through June 19.

'The Life and Times of A. Einstein' is a funny, offbeat comedy about a day in the life of the famous scientist, as seen through the eyes of his secretary, Ellen. As his secretary, chauffeur and bodyguard (she shoots, too!), Ellen shields him from the press, keeps him on time for appointments, runs his household, and tries unsuccessfully to hide her passion and feelings for him.

The show is written by Karen Bankhead with additional material by Pam Trotter and performed by Karen Bankhead. It features musical performance by singer Pam Trotter, and is directed by Karen Bankhead. It is produced by Free Spirit Productions. The production will play one performance at Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. West, in Los Angeles, CA 90068 on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
