The programme includes the world première of Zadie Smith's The Wife of Willesden directed by Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham, renewing their collaboration following the acclaimed world première stage adaptation of Smith's White Teeth in 2018, Footholds: NW Stories; a trilogy of short plays by Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams, and the fourth annual Mapping Brent project, supported by the Brent 2020 Culture Fund. Kiln Theatre will also lead The Agency, a programme for young people in Brent to workshop and pitch unique business and social enterprise ideas for funding and support.

Southwark Playhouse are pleased to announce the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has today awarded the theatre a grant of £750,000. The award is part of the Mayor of London's £70 million Good Growth Fund, £30 million of which has been awarded to projects which put local communities at the heart of regeneration, enabling Londoners to actively participate in their local communities and give people a voice in shaping how the capital will grow. The theatre's grant will enable the development of its new flagship venue in the borough of Southwark.

Polka Theatre today announce full casting for Shamser Sinha's Three Sat Under The Banyan Tree based on The Panchatantra - India's Aesop's Fables. Artistic Director of Tara Arts, Jatinder Verma directs Rose-Marie Christian (Jayaben - Crow story), Medhavi Patel (Yasmin - Leopard story) and Raj Swamy (Mahendra - Mongoose story). The production opens on 3 October, with previews from 28 September, and runs until 21 October.
