Disney has cancelled The Muppets Mayhem after one season. The musical series joins other cancelled projects on the streamer this year, alongside The Spiderwick Chronicles, National Treasure, and more. The series followed The Electric Mayhem as they went on an epic, music-filled journey to record their first-ever studio album.
The Muppets Mayhem digital album is out and features 14 covers, 2 new songs written and co-written by Grammy®-nominated and Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Linda Perry who also serves as Executive Music Producer. The soundtrack also includes score composed by Mick Giacchino ('Zootopia+').
“The Muppets Mayhem” follows The Electric Mayhem Band — Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot and Lips — on a journey to record their debut album. Disney+ announced that Saara Chaudry ('The Mysterious Benedict Society,' 'Holly Hobbie') and Anders Holm ('Workaholics,' 'Inventing Anna') have been cast as Hannah and JJ in the live-action series, 'The Muppets Mayhem,' joining Lilly Singh ('A Little Late with Lilly Singh,' “Dollface”) and Tahj Mowry ('Smart Guy,' 'Baby Daddy').
