The Guild of Music Supervisors held its landmark 10th annual award ceremony this evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles celebrating outstanding achievement in the craft of Music Supervision in movies, television, games, advertising, and trailers. Over 1,000 attendees joined the Guild to honor the 31 crafts makers, who were recognized for their stellar musical accomplishments in 2019. Orpheus, Eurydice, a trouble-making horse and Death herself converge in a very funny and irreverent reimagining of the Greek myth by surrealist poet, playwright and filmmaker Jean Cocteau. Deaf West Theatre views Cocteau's whimsical, magical and highly visual play, first performed in 1926, through a unique lens: translated from the French into Spoken English by John Savacool, into American Sign Language by Andrew Moore, and slated for a run at the True Colors Festival in Tokyo, Japan at the end of April. Deena Selenow directs Orphée in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre, opening March 13 for a four-week run through April 5. Three low-priced previews are set for March 8, March 11 and March 12.

The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) and Youth Pride Chorus, today announced that HARMONY, the annual Valentine's Day fundraiser that supports NYCGMC and Youth Pride Chorus, will honor the legendary Our Lady J and the #BoysDanceToo movement with Robbie Fairchild, Sam Quinn, Travis Wall, Charlie Williams and Alex D. Wong. Entertainment at the February 14th event will feature four Broadway heartthrobs Henry Gottfried (Waitress), Adam Hyndman (Hadestown, Once on This Island), Devin Ilaw (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables), and Vishal Vaidya (Groundhog Day) at Current, Pier 59.

Jesse Berger - Red Bull Theater Founder and Artistic Director, Jim Bredeson - Red Bull Managing Director, and the Board of Trustees of Red Bull Theater have announced that the Twelfth Annual Running of the Red Bulls Gala Benefit on Monday March 30th will celebrate the company's 17th Season and honor Kate Burton, André De Shields, and Theatre Development Fund with the 2020 Matador Awards for Excellence in Classical Theater. Proceeds from the evening will support all of Red Bull Theater's programs including its upcoming Off-Broadway production of The Alchemist.
