Robbie Florian's farce, The Cadaver Synod: A Pope Musical will debut at this year's New York Musical Festival, playing from July 17 - 23 at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street). The Cadaver Synod is directed by Ryan Emmons with musical direction by Dan Garmon and choreography by Gina Duci. Tickets are $27.75 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

No.11 Productions is presenting an invited reading of their interactive musical comedy Quest for the West: Adventures on the Oregon Trail! on May 8 and 9 in midtown Manhattan. Ryan Emmons (Groundhog Day, Matilda, Ghost) directs and Enrico de Trizio (Dear Evan Hanson, Mamma Mia) Music Directs. The cast is John Bambery, Jennifer Blood* (Matilda, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, Violet), Julie Congress, Steven Conroy* (AMC's Turn), Scott Raymond Johnson* and Danny Tieger* (Matilda).

Cast of Broadway's MATILDA Set for 'Write Here, Write Now' with NYC Public School Students

Broadway's award-winning Matilda The Musical, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and the Dodgers, has invited children from New York City public schools to participate in "Write Here, Write Now," a program sponsored by the RSCand the NYC Department of Education that provides over 300 students from arts-underserved communities with the opportunity to explore writing in a unique way, as their storytelling is brought to life on a Broadway stage. On December 12, the program will culminate with the cast performing a private presentation of the original scenes written by the students on stage at Broadway's Shubert Theatre.
