On March 13, 2020, days before The Garneau Block was set to open, we turned off the lights on our stages due to COVID-19. The Garneau Block set stood still on the Maclab stage for over 18 months waiting for its debut. Premier amateur theatre company Sedos will build a working bar on the Bridewell Theatre stage for upcoming stage musical Next Thing You Know ('NTYK'), creating a show which is half traditional musical comedy and half immersive theatre experience. Before the show, the audience will be able to purchase drinks onstage, and during what would usually be the interval, the audience will be invited back onstage to party with the cast, in direct continuation of the story.
