Festival Artistic Director Yvonne Ng, Co-Festival Directors, Janelle Rainville & Jeff Morris, alongside guest curators Tedd Robinson and Debashis Sinha, are pleased to announce the programming for the dance: made in canada / fait au canada (d:mic/fac) Festival, running August 13-16, 2015. Over two dozen artists will be seen at the Betty Oliphant Theatre in Toronto in three different programs: Mainstage, What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) and Arts Encounters.

One of New York's brightest new musicals written by members of the Millennial Generation will finally be seen in Chicago when the newly formed Refuge Theatre Project, a company dedicated to presenting ensemble pieces of new American musical writers, opens Next Thing You Know at The Den Theater in February. While musicals by millennials have received commercial productions in New York City, they've been largely unseen in Chicago. Though the area's vibrant theatre community is adventurous in producing new plays, when it comes to musicals local commercial producers and non-profit companies alike have mostly steered toward classics and shows written before the year 2000.

Refuge Theatre Project Presents Inaugural Season and Preview Concert

The newly formed Refuge Theatre Project, a company dedicated to the performance of ensemble based musical theatre, has announced its first season of two musicals, both to be performed at the Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave., in Wicker Park. The musicals,Next Thing You Know by Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham and Glory Days by James Gardiner and Nick Blaemire, will be previewed by Refuge ensemble members at a fund-raising concert to be held in The Cab at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont on Sunday, September 28th at 7 pm.
