The Gothic Hour, a new horror play, will make its debut at the FLEA Theater in New York City. Previews start on Oct. 6th, with shows running from Oct. 11th-22nd.

“Modern Drama,” an original play by Somers Point playwright Bill Sterritt, will be performed at Studio;Space in Somers Point 8 p.m. Mondays to Wednesdays, July 31 to Aug. 2 and Aug. 7 through 9.

A new production of As You Like It takes a classic work and revisits another period of great unrest in America. The production explores societal divides and offers an opportunity for rebirth and creativity.

Award-winning playwright Jonathan Josephson (Milwaukee Rep, Humana Festival) and director Jonathan Harper Schlieman (Actors Theatre of Louisville) have announced their latest collaboration: the east coast premiere of The Giant and The Pixie, fairy tale for grown ups. The play received its world premiere at Chance Theater in Anaheim, CA where it received a StageSceneLA award for Best Ensemble. The play was also named as a Finalist for the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference.

Broadway Theatre Studios has announced that the smash hit musical comedy THE IMBIBLE: A SPIRITED HISTORY OF DRINKING has moved uptown for an open-ended run at New World Stages and will, at long last, celebrate an official opening night on Friday, February 17.

There is no place like New York! With a city this rich in culture, scandal and diversity, the possibilities for theatrical reenactment are endless. The Players Theatre Short Play and Musical Festival encourage playwrights to mine this precious resource by offering an annual NYC - themed festival each June. Celebrating its 6th year, 'Only in New York' opens Thursday, June 9 and runs for three weeks. Each week five or six original short plays (and one musical), by a variety of playwrights (including two high school students) will be presented and a 'Best of the Week' production will be selected by audience vote.
