Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.

SHOWTIME has announced that Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct the first two episodes of the network's eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, and starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) in the title role. Skogland returns to SHOWTIME, where she has previously directed shows including PENNY DREADFUL, THE BORGIAS, THE L WORD® and QUEER AS FOLK. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks.

SHOWTIME has announced the order for an eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind)in the title role and based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine and his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Oscar® winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win), who will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum.
