As the National Theatre prepares to mark 60 years of entertaining and inspiring audiences around the world on 22 October, a birthday present of 3,600 free tickets, 60 tickets for 60 performances in October, will be available for 16–25-year-olds to book for productions on the South Bank and in the West End. Vogue will donate 100% of net proceeds from ticket sales to Vogue World: London to arts and cultural organisations in London. Vogue World: London will be held on 14 September at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Full casting has been announced for Séan Aydon’s brand-new adaption of Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein which will start a major UK theatre tour at the Churchill Theatre Bromley on 14 September, before playing 10 further venues around the country.

From the 20-24 June 2023 the National Theatre is celebrating youth theatre as ten youth theatre companies and school groups from across the UK will stage new plays in the Dorfman Theatre as part of its 2023 Connections Festival. 

The National Theatre has announced two new productions, Roald Dahl's The Witches, in a co-production with the Roald Dahl Story Company, and The Effect, in association with The Jamie Lloyd Company.

The Arts Foundation has announced the five recipients of The Arts Foundation Futures Awards £10,000 Fellowships.

This March, after making her ENO directorial debut with the gripping new production of the multi-award nominated The Handmaid's Tale in 2022, Annilese Miskimmon (the ENO's Artistic Director) directs the new production of Erich Wolfgang Korngold's The Dead City (Die tote Stadt).

The National Theatre has announced Dear England, a new play by James Graham telling the story of the England men’s football team under Gareth Southgate. Directed by Rupert Goold, Dear England will play in the Olivier theatre from June with Joseph Fiennes cast as Gareth Southgate.

The Artistic Home will present Moira Buffini’s comedy Dying For It, directed by Monica Payne, playing March 18 – April 23 at The Den’s Bookspan Theatre.

The National Theatre is touring a new production, Shut Up, I'm Dreaming, created by physical ensemble theatre company The PappyShow to state secondary schools across the country from 9th January – 31st March 2023.
