Yes, she is a courtesan, but she's a virgin (of course she is).

Antaeus Theatre Company returns to in-person performance with a new production of Hamlet, directed by Shakespearean expert Elizabeth Swain and featuring long-time company member Ramón de Ocampo in the title role. Performances begin May 20 and continue through June 20 at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale. Low-priced previews begin May 15.

Just last night, New York Theatre Workshop celebrated its NYTW 2022 Gala, honoring Artistic Director James C. Nicola, who will depart NYTW after 34 years on June 30, 2022. 

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast, will open at Theater 555 for a limited engagement.

Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will present A Reliquary for William Blake, a concert on Friday, May 6 @ 7:30 PM at The Church of St. Luke in the Fields, 487 Hudson Street in Manhattan and online. The program, the third of Parthenia's 2021-22 NYC Concert Series, will also be webcast. Performers will be Parthenia Viol Consort with Cody Bowers, countertenor.

The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) production of The Giver will open Friday, April 15, 2022. The show will run in the Hawks Mainstage Theatre through May 8 with performances Wednesdays through Sundays. Tickets are on sale now starting at $25 with prices varying by performance. Celebrating its 33rd year and returning to an in-person celebration, the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s annual High School Choir Festival (HSCF), led by Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director Grant Gershon, will take place at The Music Center’s Grand Park, Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. Bringing together 500 high school students from 18 schools, the Festival will feature music from Sam Cooke and Sara Bareilles, to Reena Esmail and Handel. Sixteen singers from the Los Angeles Master Chorale, conducted by Associate Artistic Director Jenny Wong, will also perform.

Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize winning play Driving Miss Daisy, presented by Studio Theatre through April 22nd at the BayWay Theatre in East Islip, is indeed a stirring and heart rendering tale. The heart of this story follows the relationship of Daisy Werthen and Hoke Colburn over the span of twenty-five years (from 1948 - 1973). It examines race and religious prejudices, but ultimately looks at human relationships and our ability to look at a person’s core.

Coming to Powerstories Theatre's stage on April 28 – May 15 is the harrowing drama, CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE: THE MAGDALENE LAUNDRIES, telling the true story of young women in Ireland being sent to work in laundries of Catholic Churches. Powerstories Theatre is the first to debut this powerful play in the Tampa Bay area.
