Ars Nova has announced additional details for The Ars Nova Forever Telethon, a 24-hour livestream featuring more than 150 artists celebrating Ars Nova’s past and present, while raising funds to support the company’s artistic programs throughout the unconventional 2020-2021 season.

Emerson College, in cooperation with Live & In Color, will debut its first live, virtual, new musical, 'This Golden Day,' one of few, if any, higher education performing arts entities executing a live musical online. The musical explores the concept of 'The Golden Rule' and building community through various religions and diverse perspectives.

New American musical in development Letters to the President has released a music video of “So Far to Go,” written by Ronvé O’Daniel and Jevares Myrick. The video is now streaming online as part of O’Daniel and Myrick’s newly launched Composer and Lyricist Artist Channel on Broadway on Demand.

The Sappho Project has announce that the 2020 W*rk Lab will include not three, but four new musicals! The selected musicals, chosen from fifty-nine applications, include AT THE BARRE (SMJ [they/them] and Sarah Flaim [she/her]), BREWSTERS (Cayenne Douglass [she/her]), MONTGOMERY (Britt Bonney [she/her]), and POWER (Sukari Jones [she/her]).

John Krause (Hadestown, Wicked, Rock of Ages) will join Broadway Buskers in the series' next concert on Tuesday, September 1. New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its Choreography Lab on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 7PM EDT. A Quarantine Lab will explore creating new choreography in a virtual space, and will feature the work of choreographers Raja Feather Kelly (choreographer of A Strange Loop) and Tislarm Bouie (Gary a Sequel to Titus Andronicus).
