A memorial service for Jack L. Goldstein, who organized a successful campaign in the 1980s to landmark over two dozen Broadway theatres, will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 (5 PM) at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in-the-Highlands, in Cold Spring, NY.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Wynn Handman, co-founder of the American Place Theatre, has died at age 97. Handman's daughter, Laura Handman, confirmed that his cause of death was COVID-19-related illness.

Foursome Productions and Adriano Aragon have announced the limited San Francisco's engagement of David Mamet's SPEED-THE-PLOW, directed by Peter Allas. The production will run from March 18 a?" April 4, 2020 at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (215 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94111), with the press opening on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $30 - $65 (with group discounts available) and can be purchased at speedtheplowsf.org.

Santa Cruz County Actors' Theatre continues its 2019 season with the full-length staged production of Jane Anderson's LOOKING FOR NORMAL, directed by Tandy Beal. The play opens April 12 and runs through April 28 at the Center Stage Theater in downtown Santa Cruz.

CVThe Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre (CVRep) has announced it will present three-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Edward Albee's highly provocative award-winning play, The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?. Exemplifying this season's CVRep theme of 'Romance, Real or Imagined', The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? touches on relationships and betrayal in true Albee style. Well known for pushing the envelope, Mr. Albee, uses sexuality and humor to deflect where the real problems are based.
