The Broadway Education Alliance Inc. presented The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (formerly the Gershwin Awards) on Sunday, May 19 at Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) in Manhattan, 328 West 48th Street, in Manhattan.

Final casting has been announced for the upcoming concert performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's iconic musical CAROUSEL for one night only at Cadogan Hall on Sunday 19th May.

Wendi Peters, Kimberley Walsh and Matthew Kelly will star as Mrs Baskin, Susan Lawrence and George MacMillan respectively. They join the previously announced Jay McGuiness as Josh Baskin. Based on the smash-hit movie starring Tom Hanks, BIG The Musical makes its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited nine-week season from 6 September to 2 November 2019, with a Gala Night in aid of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday 17 September.

THE JIMMY AWARDS announces the 2019 INSPIRING TEACHER AWARD will be given to Matthew Hinson, Northwest School of the Arts, Charlotte, North Carolina and Tasha Partee, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Woodmere, New York for the encouragement and inspiration that led their students to win the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 lineup. As part of the Spotlight series, the panel will feature Taylor Trensch (the current Evan Hansen), Michael Lee Brown (Alternate Evan Hansen; u/s Connor Murphy, Jared Kleinman), and Andrew Barth Feldman (Evan Hansen, starting January 30) in conversation on Saturday, January 12 at 11:15 a.m.

BroadwayCon and the Broadway League Foundation have announced finalists for the BroadwayCon 2019 Star To Be talent competition. BroadwayCon and the Broadway League Foundation have also announced today that the 2018 Jimmy Award winners Renee Rapp and DEAR EVAN HANSEN's Andrew Barth Feldman will perform during the BroadwayCon Star To Be competition on Saturday, January 12, while the judges deliberate.

The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company will present the fourteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Will Reynolds and Eric Price. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Alan Cumming on Monday, November 26th from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

Target Margin Theater (Founding Artistic Director David Herskovits, Associate Artistic Director Moe Yousuf) is proud to present a remount of its acclaimed production, Pay No Attention to the Girl, for a limited three week run (October 25-November 11). Classic Stage Company announces the full cast for The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Bertolt Brecht's unsettlingly timeless work, which kicks off CSC's 2018-2019 season on October 30, with rehearsals beginning this week.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to begin their season with a modern reimagining of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. Chekhov's classic play about artistic rebellion, translated by Paul Schmidt, will star the MFA Class of 2020 and guests. Director Sarah Wansley's staging will shed light on the show's poetic realism. Press opening will be on October 9th at the Helen Theatre in Playhouse Square and the show will run from October 10th-October 20th.
