On Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, during the OC Theatre Guild’s membership meeting, nominees for the fifth annual OCTG Theatre Awards were officially announced.

The current fragile state of, arguably, one of our country's most important founding documents—and whether or not some of our current leaders are legally following it—seems to be top of mind these days, which bodes well for the timely arrival of Chance Theater's latest production, playwright Heidi Schreck's semi-autobiographical 2017 Tony and Pulitzer Prize nominated play WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME, which continues performances in Anaheim through October 26, 2025.

Now having its California premiere at OC's Chance Theater in Anaheim through February 26, RIDE THE CYCLONE is a must-see, wonderfully odd, yet endearingly touching musical comedy that feels like a thoughtfully bonkers hybrid of The Breakfast Club and It's A Wonderful Life, with room for a dollop of Tim Burton-esque quirkiness.

Chance Theater will present the California Premiere of “Ride the Cyclone.” This musical will preview from January 27 through February 3, and regular performances will begin February 4th and continue through February 26.
