Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP) presents a heartwarming new vision of Roald Dahl's timeless classic James and the Giant Peach, making its Vancouver premiere today, December 6, 2014 to January 4, 2015 at The Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island. Developed by Tony-nominated songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, the whimsical tale follows James Trotter who is swept away on an extraordinary journey with an unlikely contingent of insect friends.

Broadway's award-winning Matilda The Musical, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and the Dodgers, has invited children from New York City public schools to participate in "Write Here, Write Now," a program sponsored by the RSCand the NYC Department of Education that provides over 300 students from arts-underserved communities with the opportunity to explore writing in a unique way, as their storytelling is brought to life on a Broadway stage. On December 12, the program will culminate with the cast performing a private presentation of the original scenes written by the students on stage at Broadway's Shubert Theatre.

Matilda The Musical has paid back its $16 million investment on Broadway, making the show a rare hit simultaneously on Broadway and in London's West End.

Museum of the Moving Image will present sixteen contemporary animated films in a new edition of its popular See It Big! series, co-programmed with the online film magazine Reverse Shot. The series, which opens November 28 and continues through December 28, 2014, includes works by renowned animation directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata of Studio Ghibli, Bill Plympton, Henry Selick, John Lasseter, and Satoshi Kon, as well as unique works by directors Wes Anderson and Richard Linklater and others.

The songs are composed by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blaine, published by EMI Feist Catalog, and produced for the Broadway stage by Brickhill-Burke Productions, Christopher Seabrooke, and EPI Products. Directed by Stoneham Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Caitlin Lowans, with Ceit Zweil as Choreographer and Bethany Aiken as Musical Director, this show features 'The Trolley Song,' 'The Boy Next Door,' and, of course, 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.'

Boston, MA (For Release 11.06.14) – At the vanguard of Boston's classical music scene, Odyssey Opera and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) present a co-production of the comedic, family opera Fantastic Mr. Fox. For one performance only, Fantastic Mr. Fox unites Odyssey Opera (a new, Boston-based opera company dedicated to exploring the full spectrum of adventurous repertoire), BMOP (the nation's premier orchestra dedicated exclusively to commissioning, performing, and recording new orchestral music), the Boston Children's Chorus, and some of today's top vocal performers including baritone John Brancy and mezzo-soprano Krista River. Broadway recently welcomed a bunch of 'Newtildas' to Broadway company of Matilda the Musical. One of the four leading ladies is Eliza Holland Madore, an 8 years old, who was previously seen as Ivanka in Once. Below, watch as Eliza finds out that she got the part!
