Veteran Broadway actor, Richard Waits, is bringing Jon-Marc McDonald's anticipated play, Relatively Conscious, to the stage in February at the New York Theater Festival. The play, which centers around the murder of James Byrd Jr in 1998, will run February 6, 7, and 10th at the HudsonGuild Theater in New York City.

This month, on the heels of Edgar Oliver's acclaimed, sold-out New York Trilogy, Axis Theatre Company presents the 16th annual production of its beloved family holiday show, Seven in One Blow, or the Brave Little Kid.

Axis Theatre served as the incubator and theatrical home for East 10th Street: Self Portrait with Empty House (2009), In the Park (2014), and Attorney Street (2016), the three poignantly peculiar solo plays that make up New York's monologizing cult sensation Edgar Oliver's New York Trilogy.

CONQUEST OF THE UNIVERSE OR WHEN QUEENS COLLIDE which marked the birth of the The Ridiculous Theatrical Company, co-founded by the late groundbreaking playwright and performer Charles Ludlam in 1967 will return on the occasion of the play and the company's 50th anniversary with a production, starring and directed by Everett Quinton, a long-standing member of RTC who assumed leadership as Artistic Director when Mr. Ludlam died 30 years ago, in 1987.

Lead producer Joshua Goodman (Come From Away) has announced that NewYorkRep has joined Louise Beard and Gene Fisch, Jr. on the producing team for HOWARD CRABTREE'S WHEN PIGS FLY.

Producer Joshua Goodman is tickled pink to announce the return of HOWARD CRABTREE'S WHEN PIGS FLY, conceived by Howard Crabtree and Mark Waldrop, book and lyrics by Mark Waldrop, music by Dick Gallagher, directed by Mark Waldrop, choreographed by Tony Award-nominee Denis Jones (Holiday Inn) and costumes by legendary nine-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Mackie ('The Carol Burnett Show').

Theater Breaking Through Barriers celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Ridiculous Theatrical Company with the first Off-Broadway revival of THE ARTIFICIAL JUNGLE by Charles Ludlam. It is directed by Everett Quinton, who co-starred in the 1986 premiere and was the Artistic Director of The Ridiculous from 1987-1997. In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel, one of Tennessee Williams lesser known works, opens on Wednesday, March 15 at 292 Theatre on The Lower East Side. The production was recently produced at the 2016 Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival in Provincetown, Massachusetts where it played to sold-out houses. As the centerpiece of the Company's 25th anniversary season, Target Margin Theater and Abrons Arts Center will present a rare revival of Eugene O'Neill's great trilogy, Mourning Becomes Electra, directed by Herskovits, and running April 26-May 20. Part Greek tragedy, part family play, part history play, Mourning Becomes Electra (O'Neill's 1931 adaptation of Aeschylus 'The Oresteia') mashes myth, Freudian psychology and melodrama into an epic six hour production.
