BROADWAY BARKS just held their 18th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, Broadway Barks featured a slew of celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.

CATS started previews this past week, and Grizabella herself, Leona Lewis tweeted out a first look photo this weekend in costume. Check it out below!

Popular choreographer Al Blackstone, known for his Broadway style routines on So You Think You Can Dance, is excited to be returning for his third season at the Fire Island Dance Festival. Blackstone will be presenting an excerpt from his new work, Freddie Falls In Love, which recently had its premiere at The Pershing Square Signature Center in New York City. The show was also a benefit performance for DRA and Blackstone figured it would be a perfect fit for this year's festival.

New York Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, presented by Chase, began performances on June 15 at Radio City Music Hall. The limited eight-week engagement continues through August 7, 2016. The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts has announced that Travis Wall's Shaping Sound: Dance Reimagined, one of North America's hottest new dance shows, will come to the Ordway for a special one-night-only performance on Friday, Oct. 14. Now rumors are circulating that British singer Leona Lewis might take on the role instead. A source told the Daily Star that Lewis is Lloyd Webber's first choice to replace Scherzinger.

As previously reported, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber spoke to The Economist Radio this week and revealed that Nicole Scherzinger, who starred as Grizabella in the recent West End revival of Cats, had initially signed on for the upcoming Broadway production but changed her mind just before rehearsals got underway. Now, Scherzinger has responded to Lloyd Webber's 'furious' reaction, bearing no ill will toward the theatre legend.
