Sopranos' Stars Lead Cast Of 'Homeland' Reading 5/20

NahNotOutsideMyHouse! Productions Inc. is proud to announce that Sopranos' stars Dan Grimaldi and Jason Cerbone, and actor Joe Lisi (Take Me Out, Sopranos) will lead a stellar cast for an invitation only Industry Reading of the new play entitled Homeland, written by Charles Messina (Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God).

MTS Benefit To Feature Sketches From Family Guy Writers

manhattantheatresource's spring benefit will feature a special Spontaneous Combustion - a program of sketches created on the fly by writers from TV's ingenuous comedy 'Family Guy' - Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the theatre's Greenwich Village home (177 MacDougal St.). Performances are at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Urie, Malick, and More in 'The Crowd You're in With'

Ugly Betty star Michael Urie, Hamish Linklater, Wendie Malick, Dan Lauria and Tom O'Keefe will star in a staged reading of the play, The Crowd You're In With, Monday, April 21, 8 p.m at The Hayworth. Directed by Amy Glazer and written by Rebecca Gilman, The Crowd You're In With is a production of The Hayworth Theatre's popular Bruno Kirby Celebrity Reading Series.

'Blindsided By a Diaper' at Musical Mondays Series

Married actors Charma and David Bonanno will head up the cast of Blindsided by a Diaper: The Musical, the next and final event in the Stamford, Connecticut, based Curtain Call Theater's 2007/2008 Musical Mondays series of concert readings. The musical is adapted from the Three River's Press collection of essays about the changes that couples face in their relationships when children enter into the picture. The musical was written by the book's editor, Dana Bedford Hilmer, and songwriters Jeffrey Lodin and William Squier (100 Years into the Heart, Top of the Heap).

'Klepto' Opens Shortened Attention Fest March 6-9

Playwright Charles Messina returns for this Spring's Shortened Attention Span Baseball Festival with his semi-autobiographical one-act, Klepto, to open a limited run as part of the Festival and runs opening week, March 6-9. Show times Thursday through Saturday at 8PM; Sunday at 3PM. The Players Theatre is located at 115 MacDougal Street

NY Playwrights Lab Presents New Works Readings Jan.8-10

The New York Playwrights Lab - the 35 year-old organization founded keep established playwrights writing for the theatre - will offer a sample of its members' newest works in a series of free daytime readings at 2PM January 8-10 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

'Sopranos' Star Cerbone in 'Merging' at Horror Festival

Former 'Sopranos' star Jason Cerbone will appear in Charles Messina's new play Merging that will debut at The Players Theatre in Manhattan in October as part of the theatre's Shortened Attention Span Horror Festival.
