Jerry O'Connell, Michael Urie and Carol Kane star in a staged reading of Badge on Monday, November 12 at 8PM at The Hayworth Theater.  Written by Matthew Schneck, produced by Stacy Cole and directed by noted television director Steve Zuckerman, Badge is a production of The Hayworth Theatre's popular Bruno Kirby Celebrity Reading Series.

"Roy is a 28 year-old Boy Scout who clings to his dream of being the first scout to complete all 122 merit badges.  This is Roy's only hope of maintaining a tenuous grasp on his mental health.  Troop leader, Brad, is suspicious of why a grown man remains in the Scouts.   Brad wants him out.  And things really get crazy when Brad's uninhibited sister, Jessica, shows up, making Brad do decidedly un-Scout-like things. Badge is an outrageous dark comedy in which bloody rituals are performed, police attack cats linger about and the smell of an authentic Wellington Stew can change the world," describe press notes.

Jerry O'Connell currently stars in the new ABC series "Carpooler's."  He's also starred in the hit series, "Crossing Jordan" and "Sliders," in addition to guest starring on numerous television series.  Among Jerry's feature film credits are Jerry Maguire, Joe's Apartment and Stand by Me.

Michael Urie currently stars on the smash hit ABC series, "Ugly Betty." Since graduating from Juilliard in 2003, he has appeared theatrically at The Old Globe in San Diego, DC's The Folger, Seattle Rep, Barrington Stage and South Coast Rep (in Hamlet).  In NY, he's worked with The Foundry Theatre, HB Playwrights, Judith Shakespeare, Red Bull Theatre, and HERE.  On screen, he can also be seen in the feature film WTC View.

Emmy Award winning, veteran actress Carol Kane continues to appear regularly on both the big screen and television shows. She was a frequent and always colorful guest such shows as "Ellen" and "Hey Arnold" and has contributed her distinctive voice to an episode of "The Family Guy."  Kane's many film credits include Man on the Moon, Scrooged, The PallBearer, My Blue Heaven, The Princess Bride, Dog Day Afternoon and  Jawbreaker, to name a few.

Steve Zuckerman is a prolific director of television series, including "Living With Fran," "According To Jim," "What I Like About You," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "The Hughleys," and "The Drew Carey Show," among many others.

The Bruno Kirby Celebrity Reading Series premiered in June with Lou Diamond Phillips' "Burning Desire," starring Phillips, Amy Smart and Michael Urie.  Up next is a staged reading of the screenplay, "Daybreak," Mon., Oct. 29, starring "Entourage's" Rex Lee, Mackenzie Phillips and Beth Grant.  Recent readings include Josh Greenfeld's Canal Street with "Grey's Anatomy" star Chandra Wilson and Paul Mazursky and Machiavelli, by Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright Richard Vetere, with "Soprano's" star Ray Abruzzo and Paul Ben Victor.  The series is named for the beloved late actor and showcases "celebrities who are dedicated to theater."  Kirby was known for his work in Lost in Yonkers, This is Spinal Tap, Good Morning Vietnam, When Harry Met Sally, The Godfather II and The Freshman.

Badge will be presented on the Main Stage for one performance only, Monday, November 12 at 8PM.   A reception follows performance in the Hayworth's upstairs ballroom.
