 The Joyce Theater Foundation will welcome a collective of talented artists to celebrate the legacy and music of jazz legend Max Roach in Max Roach 100.

The Joyce Theater Foundation has revealed the complete calendar of performances from renowned U.S. and international dance companies slated for The Joyce Theater’s Spring/Summer ‘24 season.

Following an extensive search across disciplines, BMC Prize nominators Arooj Aftab, Bonnie Jones, Euridice Arratia, Richard Colton, and Daniela Perez selected Adelita Husni-Bey as the recipient of the $20,000 annual grant for international or national artists working in the spirit of Black Mountain College (1933-1957). 

Musical Remembrances, the new album from the Neave Trio (Anna Williams, violin; Mikhail Veselov, cello; Eri Nakamura, piano) is out today in digital formats with CDs to follow on May 6, 2022. 

The Neave Trio (Anna Williams, violin; Mikhail Veselov, cello; Eri Nakamura, piano) announce Musical Remembrances — the Trio's fourth album with Chandos Records, which will be available digitally worldwide on April 29, 2022, with CDs following on May 6, 2022.

On Saturday, October 2, 2021, dancers, musicians, filmmakers, poets, and immigration advocates will gather in community at Judson Memorial Church around the urgent issue of humanizing our immigration system.

On Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 1pm, the Boston-based Neave Trio will perform on two concerts presented as part of Bard Music Festival's 12-concert series, Nadia Boulanger and Her World. The concerts will be performed for a live audience at the Fisher Center's LUMA Theater at Bard College (Manor Ave.) and livestreamed online.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 4pm PT, the Boston-based Neave Trio returns – virtually – to the Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society for an online concert, marking the trio's seventh appearance on the series

The Boston-based Neave Trio will give a virtual concert presented by the Asheville Chamber Music Series in North Carolina, recorded at the Fraser Performance Studio at WGBH Radio. This concert will be available to ticketholders on April 23 and 24 at 7:30pm ET, and April 25 at 3pm ET, via a private YouTube broadcast.

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 7pm MST, the Neave Trio presents a free concert on Western New Mexico University's Virtual President's Chamber Music Series. The trio will perform live from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where the ensemble has been a Faculty Ensemble-in-Residence since 2017. The stream will be free to watch, and will remain available for one week after the initial broadcast.

The Neave Trio, Alumni Artists, Faculty Ensemble‑in‑Residence at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, presents Finding What is Lost, a livestream performance on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 7:30pm EST.

On November 10, 2020 at 7:30pm PT, the Boston-based Neave Trio will give an online performance presented by the University of Idaho's Auditorium Chamber Music Series. The program includes works by four women composers - Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, Rebecca Clarke, and Jennifer Higdon - highlighting an ongoing theme in Neave's programming: Her Voice.

Programming for American Ballet Theatre's 2018 Fall season, October 17-28 at the David H. Koch Theater, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. The season will feature World Premieres by Michelle Dorrance and Jessica Lang, as well as centennial tribute performances of Jerome Robbins's and Leonard Bernstein's Fancy Free. Back in December of 2017, I wrote a glowing review for BWW DanceWorld of Julliard's New Dances Celebrating the Legacy of Lawrence Rhodes in honor of his retirement after 15 years as artistic director. I am delighted to report that since then, Taryn Kaschock Russell as acting director of Juilliard Dance has kept the program's excellence alive and even judged it a notch upward in terms of superb dancing and choreography. This was evidenced on the afternoon of Saturday, March 24th 2018 during an almost completely satisfying performance of 'Spring Dances' at Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

Juilliard Dance, led by acting artistic director Taryn Kaschock Russell, continues its season with Spring Dances, a repertory program featuring Merce Cunningham's Sounddance, set to Untitled 1975/1994 by David Tudor and staged by Jean Freebury; Crystal Pite's Grace Engine, set to music by Owen Belton and staged by Alexandra Damiani; and Twyla Tharp's Deuce Coupe, set to music by the Beach Boys and staged by Richard Colton.

SDP students will perform alongside BBII company members in a range of works curated to reflect the main Company's diverse repertoire.
