Lempicka, the sweeping new musical portrait celebrating the gripping true story of renowned artist Tamara de Lempicka, will open on Broadway this spring at the Longacre Theatre and we have pics of the new marquee!

Lempicka, the sweeping new musical portrait celebrating the gripping true story of renowned artist Tamara de Lempicka, will open on Broadway this spring at the Longacre Theatre (220 W 48th St). Eden Espinosa, who originated the titular role in critically acclaimed performances at Williamstown Theatre Festival and La Jolla Playhouse, will star in the production.

A casting notice has been released for the Broadway production of Lempicka, which notes that the musical will go into rehearsals in January and open in New York in March.

Musical Theatre Factory, New York's developmental hub for changemaking new musicals, will present selections from Shoot for the Moon, a new musical featuring book, music, and lyrics by David Gomez and John-Michael Lyles, music direction by Remy Kurs, and directed by raja feather kelly, at Harlem's Silvana Cafe on October 3.

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its 2022/2023 season opener: Lempicka, book, lyrics and original concept by Carson Kreitzer, book and music by Matt Gould, choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly, and directed by Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Broadway’s Hadestown), running June 14 – July 24.
