The Snowman skates into its magical 22nd year at The Peacock from 21 November – 5 January pictured here at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink, now open until 12 January. 

It wouldn't be Christmas without Birmingham Repertory Theatre's family favourite The Snowman, now in its 22nd consecutive year. This beloved dance adaptation of Raymond Briggs' tale returns to Sadler's Wells' Peacock Theatre this week as part of its UK tour. Martin Fenton talks to BroadwayWorld about taking on the all-important title role.

Croydon audiences, as well as those from further afield, can enjoy a fabulous feast of family entertainment at Fairfield Halls this autumn. A packed programme of magical theatre, music, and dance, aimed at children of all ages and their grown-ups, is taking place in the venue which re-opened in September following a multi-million pound Croydon council-led restoration.

At the completion of a multi-million-pound development this autumn, funded by Croydon Council as part of its £5.2bn regeneration project, Fairfield Halls will be one of the biggest arts centres in the UK, the largest in South London, and the largest multi-disciplinary arts and entertainment space in South London and the South East.

Gareth Machin, Artistic Director of Wiltshire Creative, and Guest Festival Director Jonathan Dove today announce the programme for the 2019 Salisbury International Arts Festival (24 May to 9 June) which will mark two global anniversaries - the 1969 moon landings and the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall - with an ambitious mix of music, spoken word, film, dance, circus, theatre, comedy and family events.

It's a record-breaking 21st year at the Peacock Theatre for The Snowman, based on Raymond Briggs' beloved creation, with music from Howard Blake (including the iconic 'Walking in the Air'), choreography from Robert North and direction from Bill Alexander. This Christmas, Theatre Royal Bath's the egg theatre and Pins & Needles Productions present a new adaptation of Baroness Orczy's The Scarlet Pimpernel in a comedic romp reuniting the award-winning production team behind last year's critically acclaimed production of Little Mermaid. Recently named winners of the UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children and Young People, they will present this new production at the egg from 6 December to 13 January 2019, with opening night for press on 12 December 2018.

The Lyric Hammersmith presents the 2018 Autumn season of Little Lyric especially for audiences aged between 2-11 years.
