Marcus Performing Arts Center Announces Next President & CEO

The Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) Board of Directors announced today that seasoned performing arts leader, Kevin Giglinto, will be the next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization. Giglinto brings more than 25 years of leadership experience with two of the world's most prominent performing arts organizations to the role of MPAC President & CEO. Giglinto will join MPAC in late July.

Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) announces the departure of President and CEO, Kendra Whitlock Ingram. Ingram will leave the organization in January 2023 as she accepts the role of President and CEO of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, a performing arts organization in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Eden Espinosa, Amber Iman, Nicholas Belton Lead Developmental Lab for Broadway-Bound LEMPICKA

BroadwayWorld has just learned that LEMPICKA, which ran at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer, is in the midst of a developmental lab. The Broadway-bound musical, directed by Tony nominee Rachel Chavkin, with music by Matt Gould and book and lyrics by Carson Kreitzer, starred Eden Espinosa, Amber Iman, Nicholas Belton, Jon Jon Briones, T. Oliver Reid, Darlesia Cearcy, Natalie Joy Johnson, and Kendyl Ito.

Breaking: HEAD OVER HEELS Will Go-Go in 2019- Final Performance Set for January 6!

Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time - will play its final Broadway performance at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Head Over Heels, which began preview performances on Saturday, June 23 and officially opened on Thursday, July 26, 2018, will have played 188 regular performances and 37 previews.

HEAD OVER HEELS Cast Will Perform On The Thanksgiving Day Parade

The cast of Head Over Heels will bring their beat to the 2018 Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS! The parade will be broadcast live from New York City beginning at 9 AM EST on Thursday, November 22. Head Over Heels joins previously announced Broadway cast performances by Dear Evan Hansen and King Kong. Kevin Frazier and correspondent Keltie Knight of 'Entertainment Tonight' will host the three-hour television special featuring portions of the 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Emmy Award-winning producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss ('The Tony Awards') serve as executive producers; Weiss will also direct.

For HEAD OVER HEELS' Tanner Ray Wilson, performing on a Broadway stage eight times a week is a far cry from his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. 'My dad is a football coach and a basketball coach and a hunter, like outdoorsman extraordinaire,' he says. 'And he was cool enough for some reason to let his boy go take a dance class.' That one class gave Wilson the confidence to pursue more classes and connect with other teachers, who he says not only helped him grow as an artist but also opened doors for him.
