Leslie Jordan Cancels, Randy Rainbow Adds Shows For Crown & Anchor's 2018 Cabaret Series

Leslie Jordan's August 13 & 14 performances at the Crown & Anchor's Paramount Cabaret have been cancelled. Jordan's commitments to a new FOX television series prevent him from travelling to Provincetown this summer. Randy Rainbow, whose August 6 & 7 performances are nearing a sell-out, will add additional performances on August 13 & 14 in place of Jordan.

In Randy Rainbow's latest political parody, he begins with a fake interview with Kellyanne Conway, including the clip where she accidentally called Donald Trump 'Commander in Cheese' instead of 'Commander in Chief.' Randy ran with this, setting the song to the tune of It Sucks to Be Me from Avenue Q and including as many cheese references as he can get away with.

The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) celebrated more than two dozen outstanding actors, directors, designers, and ensembles at The 36th Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony at the Huntington Avenue Theatre last night. The coveted Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence was presented to Leigh Barrett, Robert J. Eagle received a Special Citation in honor of his 50 years at Reagle Music Theatre, and the Guest of Honor Award went to internet sensation Randy Rainbow.

Provincetown's Crown & Anchor Announces 2018 Cabaret Series Season

Producer Rick Murray will present the 2018 Cabaret Series in Provincetown, MA this summer at The Crown & Anchor's Paramount Theatre, Cabaret Room, and Town Hall Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale for the Series, in which an impressive list of award-winning stars will be performing live in full concerts. Following up on last summer's smash hit season, the 2018 Cabaret Series will include the talents of comedian Paula Poundstone as well as Broadway stars Lucie Arnaz (They're Playing Our Song, Pippin), Telly Leung (Aladdin, Allegiance), Anthony Rapp (Rent, If/Then), Linda Eder (Jekyll and Hyde), and Emmy Award winners Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace) and Bruce Vilanch.

400 members of Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) and Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) join together in song at McCaw Hall for Not In Our Town on April 7, 2018 at 8pm and April 8, 2018 at 2pm. New York-based comedian and YouTube sensation Randy Rainbow is making his Seattle debut as the special guest for both performances. In addition to live performances of his wildly popular parody videos, Rainbow will sing hit songs with the Choruses, including the Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning song "This is Me" from The Greatest Showman.

As magical as the evening was, after Freddie Gershon gave an impassioned presentation to the duo, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones hit the stage and brought the house down at ages 88 and 89 respectively. They joined forces onstage to perform a song from their musical The Bone Room, described by Jones as being about 'the pleasures of dying and being embalmed in this great country of ours.' Below, watch as they perform together for the last time. BWW feels privileged to share with you a bit of highlights of these two legends together before a rapt and ecstatic audience who precded to shower them with a (well deserved) standing ovation... RIP Harvey Schmidt.
